I have no problem with them being rescued, just don't bring them to Europe (unless they are Europeans trying to get to Africa). They should patrol in African waters and escort them back before they get in trouble, as the saying goes, prevention is better than cure.

Indeed this is the only realistic solution. If rescue means a free lift to Europe then more and more will take the risk of putting to see on anything that floats, if they were simply returned to where they come from they would stop risking their lives.
