Get the Tories Out!

Margaret Thatcher had a great idea: allow council tenants to buy their house cheap and turn them into Tories.

I bet the vast majority of Tory voters have a house with little or no mortgage.

Those tenants children and grandchildren, however, usually can't afford to buy houses, or, often, to rent homes as good as the ones Thatchers generation sold off.

Unsurprisingly they are not Thatcherites.

My parents sold their council house for a very good price. The council were fuming as they didn’t even own the house………

That should get me a few likes. (Currently 470).

Well this post has had 3 likes so I should now be at 473, and I'm only at 472 - and no. 472 was on another post.

I think DIYNOT uses the Dominion machines, that stole Trump's election, to count the likes.

I suspect that a 'thank you' counts as one point, whereas you need more than one 'like' to score one point.

You've been here since 2005, and you couldn't work that out?

In fact pop-pickers, today in 1990 was the day when the last Conservative Prime Minister left nr 10.
Sorry to disagree, but it was a lot more recently than that, three times over.

Blair, growth?? Didn't he do it with an extra trillion in govt borrowing? Selling off our gold reserves while the price was at its lowest??

So before 2007 were we in recession with unemployment spiralling, wages falling and prices sky rocketing? (Like now?)

Look at your graph from 98 to 08. Tell us what you see compared to the 10 years before and the 10 after

Falling productivity, including '08 under Brown, which disrupted the gdp graph. It depends how you read them.
Which graph do you mean - you have to look at them all. A debt one would be fairly dramatic towards the end of the reign.

You blame 2008 on Brown and Labour ? Ok

look at all the graphs 98 to 08. Compare them all to the previous 10 and the following 10.
