This what the UK has been at since Mrs T. Essentially now the Tory goals

Neoliberalism, also neo-liberalism,[1] is a term used to signify the late-20th century political reappearance of 19th-century ideas associated with free-market capitalism after it fell into decline following the Second World War.[2]: 7 [3] A prominent factor in the rise of conservative and right-libertarian organizations, political parties, and think tanks, and predominantly advocated by them,[4][5] it is generally associated with policies of economic liberalization, including privatization, deregulation, globalization, free trade, monetarism, austerity, and reductions in government spending in order to increase the role of the private sector in the economy and society.[14] The defining features of neoliberalism in both thought and practice have been the subject of substantial scholarly debate.

It leaves the world's private sector more or less in control. ;) Ok if you own an empire.

Again, that wasn't the question

The boat and vat is hailed by you as a perk. Explain why it is so please
Why it is or how it is? The simple fact is the UK allow boats to be purchased for export VAT free. It creates jobs in the UK as sales, commissioning, manufacturing etc are diverted to the UK. Previously it was France who had a 10% tax option allowing the second hand value to be VAT rated rather than the new value. Malta also has the lowest EU VAT rate on Boats.

The boat is sold for export VAT free. It can reside anywhere for minimum 6 months at a time. 1 day trip to a non EU state and the clock resets. Eventually it can be registered on its used value in say Malta and depending on the length the VAT rate is between 5 and 10%. Though if its coming back to the UK, Maltese VAT is of no use.

"The UK's reputation for financial stability was dented by a year of political turmoil, says the boss of insurance giant Lloyd's of London.

John Neal said confidence in the UK had been hit by a high turnover of prime ministers and a mini-budget which saw the pound drop and mortgage rates soar.

Mr Neal said other factors that harmed the UK's reputation included having three prime ministers and four chancellors in 2022 as well as the additional costs associated with Brexit."

Self inflicted damage!

That's your interpretation
Europe good Britain bad in remainers eyes.
The report said how much Britain was outstripping it's European friends in the wind department.

I have frequently commented on the benefits Britain has gained from offshore windfarms. GB is an island surrounded by sea.

Other European nations do not have the advantage in this respect.

It is not an advantage gained by hard work or honest politicians.
