Well is it true??, maybe i would get better healthcare and pension out of a private plan for my £300 a month national insurance.

So the tories would like to scrap the NHS.

The Tories would like to get ride of the Nationhealth service you know thats true don't you ?

No I don't know thats true, because they had a long time to do it, and didn't.

However, I do know that labour want to cut the armed services, even though they protected us, whilst the Labour Gov was trying to wreck the Fire Service.

Exactly Richardp, the normal rational people of this country will speak out against the tories at the election like last time when they gave Tony Blair such a majority it was clear how much the tories where disliked then and still to this day.
Perhaps when the election is over and labour have won the misguided ones will realise the error of their ways and all will be quiet and peaceful again ( doubt it! the part of the population that vote tory are extremely bad losers  ).

Best thing ever was maggie shutting the unions up. Or did you forget what they can do richardp (is it DICK for short). The last union she did not get too, public service wise, was the fire brigade and we all know what happened there. Now i wonder what would of happened to the labour party without the support of the unions?? Actually the armed forces cuts in 1994 were not based on sacking people they trimmed out the dead wood( of which there was alot ) and they all got a healthy pay off and re trained. The tories were the only ones to give the forces a decent pay rise, the last one being 1991 of 10%. Labour pay rises.....yeah alright, same as the nurses and coppers, give in one hand and take with the next. Blair gets in and the first thing they do is vote themselves a 40% pay increase!!

you don't remember the tories doing the exact same thing when they came to power?
As for the unions, there was a period when they became too strong for their own good and it caused conflict but there was much good to come out of unions also, namely job protection, and workers rights, until maggie came in and took that away leaving the unions with little power to control the management from doing what they like and perhaps this is why the morale is so low amongst workers these days when they complain about how they have lost this payment and that condition of service, now the swing has gone way too far in the managements favour and if it wasn't for the Health and safety Act coming in when it did a lot more workers would have been thrown out of work.

agreement from kendor!!!! h&S is a seperate issue which i agree with but you said it the unions did get too big and yes thanks maggs for sorting it

maggie was an evil woman her only concerns were defeating the unions some where out of control but the majority were moderate some in the middle her only real concern was making people work for less and less to maximise proffits for the bosses and share holders
thats why she liked unemployment it drives down wages and maximises profits

Which just nicely takes us back to where we started and is why the government is keen to bring in more foreigners. So is there really that much difference between lab and tory?

They both want cheap labour, they both put up taxes, they both had a go at unions(maggie more so obviously) they both support private money be it privatisations or PFI's, they both cut hospital and schools, both award themseves big rises and they both start wars.

Being given a lot a choice aren't we?

but of course migrant workers cost less they are prepaired to work for less live in more overcrowded accomodation work longer hours
it it of course wrong to expect people to accept lower standards but for a lot off people the the £30 or£40 a week they can save is worth 4 or 5 times as much when they send it back to support there famillies

just think of alvedizane pet there is always a need for people to work for less
thats how the capitalist system works

Last week Michael Howard said immigration was 3 times higher PA since 1997. I can't confirm his figures, but these figures have not been denied by the government either.

So if your comment is correct, you are suggesting that the labour government are bigger captilists than the previous tories.

mmmmmm we can twist thing to mean what we want then  ;)

and of course i do not belive what any politition say
