It looks like a PCB, because it is one.

what do you think it costs?

I said in post 58, and 59 that computers are basically PCBs

Sorry Wannabe, I've got to disagree with you, and yet also agree with you at the same time. The Rasberry Pi, is about the only pcb that I know of that is a computer, so in that sense you're right, but the general sense of a computer, is a device built around a pcb, that has additional componants that make it into an upgradable machine (in this case a computer), that then requires an operating systsem to make it work, and without that operating system, is just a jumble of electrical componants.

Can a horse be an animal?

Compare like with like,

A laptop is a computer
An IBM desktop pc is a computer

A horse is an animal
A dog is an amial

A pair of lungs aint no animal though, only one part of one :mrgreen::mrgreen:

A pcb is a printed circuit board it aint no computer
A motherboard is a printed circuit board and is still not a computer.

A smart phone, is a computer it aint got no motherboard :D

I don't think, I know. It comes off manufacturing at less than 50cents.

Again, if you'd like to discuss why it costs sooo much then I'm here.

My smartphone has a motherboard. It also has a CPU.

Although it is not a horse, it did come off a production line costing less than $1.

If you wish, you could tell us all exactly how it could possibly cost so much.

You have talked yourself into a corner so you are now desperately trying to dig yourself out by inventing silly allegations.
Keep digging plonker! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Oh look, so does wikipedia, and PCMag.

No need to get upset and become insulting :):):)

If you want to think a pcb is a computer, then thats fine with me

If it makes you happier, Ill agree with you.
Im just typing this on my printed circuit board :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

As usual, everything is being made far more complicated than it is.

Not really.

A computer is merely something which computes.
As I asked - if a PCB can compute, then by definition it is a computer.

That you use the word for very complicated machines available nowadays does not alter the fact.

Is an abacus a computer?

A pcb cant compute. It is a printed circuit board.

A printed circuit board easily be just a blank with nothing mounted on it -its not a computer

A motherboard is a printed circuit board, generally the main board in a computer into which the processor is fitted.

A printed circuit board with other parts can indeed compute. It is then not a printed circuit board -it has a collective name: a computer. :):):)
