Male Police can strip search a female.

Everything could be the start of something. What are you worried about in particular?
I mean a trans woman being treated as in every respect, physically, emotional, capacity to bear children and breastfeed, as if she were a biological woman. That kind of staring point. Nobody does that with the disabled.

I've lived all my life without ever having been arrested and/or searched. By male female or other police.

Why have you been arrested and/or searched ?
This goes to the root of the unfairness. There is a view that detainees and prisoners are fair game for applying trans rights, because public opinion doesn't care about protecting criminals. It's why the trans female prisoner was able to get into a female prison and rape a fellow inmate. Can you imagine that happening in a school or a hospital?

It's not about a school or a hospital.

It's about the right of btp to arrest and search.

I agree if they have sufficient reason to do it, they should be allowed to do it. Plus

.. If a detainee objects to being searched by a particular officer, they can request another to perform the search

Two of you seem very concerned about the rights of potential criminals

Arrest and search? Completely clueless.

Why don’t you start by researching when an officer can conduct a stop and search.

Section 4 (“Operational Guidance for the Statutory Searching of Trans and Non-Binary Detainees”) provides that:

Annex C Code L PACE is expressly disapplied (at 4.5), and replaced by s.6 of the Policy.

It is BTP policy that the guidance contained within Annex L Police and Criminal Evidence Act and Annex B Code of Practice in the Exercise by Constables of Powers of Stop and Search of the Person in Scotland is not to be used for Strip and Intimate Searches. BTP officers will use the guidance in section 6 assist with deciding how to conduct these searches.

Did you understand that?

And he’s off. Missing every point as he goes
Nonsense.

Anorak removal is still allowed - yes.

Yes. And it's nothing to do with EIP searches.

The Rules governing EIP searches are robust and strict.

Anorak removal however is still allowed.
So you didn’t read it/understand it then.

What is your understanding of “other location”. What is your understanding of “same sex” according to the policy?
