I think it's very unlikely that is how this family came to the UK. They've been here many years. Bearing in mind the mother is a nurse, it is much more likely that they were invited here to work in the NHS. The immigration system is notoriously complex, so I can see why you might be confused.
Small beer compared to the multinational death franchise that managed 3,000 in just one day. What a complete arsehole that Charles Veitch is. How can you pick out somebody and showcase them as mentally ill, without their consent, on video? And to suggest that at any moment he might snap and start killing people. This is why mentally ill people get beaten to death by yobs. Complete prick. That could be somebody's son, brother, father

Putting aside whether Veitch is/isn't an ar5ehole, it's not actually illegal to photograph/video people in a public space without their consent. The wider point is we have people out there (e.g. the guy in the video) who require mental health care and either aren't receiving it or if they are, it's inconsistent and patchy.
And again referring to the guy in the video, with absolutely no disrespect to him, I reckon I'd feel more than slightly uncomfortable to be in the vicinity of him. Of course no right-minded person would condone violence against people in these situations.

And while it may be legal to film people, it is slander to suggest they might flip and start killing people.
Oh for goodness sake dry up. So you've not read the numerous articles and/or watched the numerous tv progs where they discuss ... and have discussed for years ... the distinct lack of mental health care for people, huge waiting lists etc. I'm making a GENERAL point about the provision of services or indeed lack of them. Of course I don't know the specifics of the guy in the YT video, the guy could be suffering from anything. However I know one thing for sure, I wouldn't feel completely at ease walking past him in close proximity. That doesn't mean I have no sympathy for people in such circumstances.
It depends how you look at it. Folk like Veitch need to get views/clicks as YT is their main source of income. He predominantly achieves his views by walking around various city centres and showing the viewer what's happening, warts and all. He shows nice stuff and not so nice stuff. It's true he videos folk who are in various difficult situations, some applaud him for it others detest him for it. You can argue he's providing a modern day snapshot of our city centres, you can argue he's exploiting people. So yes there's a moral point to what he does i.e. is it right or wrong.
He's not, however, doing anything illegal.
I thought we were discussing the actions of a random nutter, not a community in Ulster oppressed because of their religion.
