Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Draft Bill

But not necessarily true. We aren't run by journalists; just influenced.
yes we are.

Rwanda plan: it’s not a plan it’s just a Daily Mail headline
No 10 is a revolving door with the r/w media

my reply about a law being illegal was in reply to Ellal
Because a court may deem a law or its application illegal?
the government has created a law which cant be applied by any legal means.

let’s talk this through:

1) person arrives in this country by small boat
2) new law says they can’t claim asylum
3) new law says they can claim asylum in 3rd country
4) supreme Court ruled the only 3rd country with an agreement is illegal

So we have the illegal migration bill which can only be applied by one means which is illegal.

It doesn't say that - you are confused. It says that if you come here illegally your claim can be inadmissible. The other obligations have been deferred

It says that if you come here illegally your claim can be inadmissible.
that is exactly what I said

The other obligations have been deferred
no they havent

the illegal migration act says:

"The Act places a legal duty on the Home Secretary to remove anyone arriving irregularly to the UK, which includes those arriving by small boat and other means of transport, either to their home country or to a safe, third country such as Rwanda"

but there is no third country, it doesnt exist

So the Conservative government have created a law which cannot be applied: to all intents and purposes it is an illegal law

You havent answered what is happening to the people who arrived since 20th July -as things stand they are going to be staying here permanently, UK wont preocess them as an asylum seeker so they cant be removed and the UK ha nowhere to send them.

Even if the Rwanda scheme was working it would only take a few hundred

The Conservatives have created a scheme that means more people will be staying here forever without any recourse to being removed :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You need to read sec 68 I provided a link.

100% of people arriving by small boat (save for the provision of slaves and children etc) can have their asylum claim declared inadmissible due to their route of entry. Refugee conventions leaves determining who can and can't make a claim to the local state.

There is currently no duty placed on the HomeSec to detain or remove. Simply they will never be granted the right to remain in the UK.

What does the Labour Party say about all these asylum seekers coming here by boat? Are they saying they are going to stop them? Are they just going to allow them to continue? Are they going to lay on ferries at Calais to bring them over? What? What have they said they would do if they were in power?

They have a 5 point plan:

1. Crackdown on criminal smuggler gangs, through new cross-border police unit
basically pay the French to get their police to do their job - good luck with that

2. Clear the backlog and end hotel use
They have to go somewhere and it doesn't solve the problem of what to do if they are refused.

3. Reform legal routes for refugees to stop people being exploited by gangs
open the door wider

4. New agreement with France and other countries on returns and family reunion
open the door wider still.

5. Tackle humanitarian crises at source helping refugees in their region
no argument with point 5.

Looks like more of a realistic plan than we've got.

Processing and actioning is the only answer

So you support the government that has created a law which increases the number of people from small boats staying here

not great is it?

no it doesnt

4. New agreement with France and other countries on returns and family reunion
open the door wider stil
no it doesnt

2. Clear the backlog and end hotel use
They have to go somewhere and it doesn't solve the problem of what to do if they are refused
if they are refused they will need to be deported

if they get asylum they can get a job and no longer need a hotel

the number of people arriving by boat is tiny compared to legal migration, so its a problem that has been created by the Conservative party

Its done the reverse - the evidence is clear.

Returns agreement signed with Albania, Albanian "refugees" dropped almost overnight. Numbers are down.

completely untrue

there is zero evidence

Returns agreement signed with Albania, Albanian "refugees" dropped almost overnight
thats got zero to do with the illegal migrant act nor Rwanda

Labour have had negotiating returns agreements as part of their immigration policy for a long time -its good to see the Conservatives finally catching up

The UK govt couldve spent all its energy on negotiating returns agreements a long time ago instead of wasting time and effort on the Rwanda deal which they were told would fail

Has it made a dent in the numbers? How many hotels has it emptied?

Was Albanua the biggest issue, or just the easiest to solve ? Should have been done much sooner if it was the easy bit
