They’re dealing out swift justice to the rioters

If you read the sentencing guide, they don't list hate as a possible aggravating factor for this crime. I think it's a red herring. To be charged with "stirring up racial hatred with hate" doesn't seem sensible to me.
A lot of the rioters are simply charged with violent disorder. That being the main charge. Others may be added. The BBC had a go at keeping track but numbers change quickly. Over 700 arrests now and ? 400+ charged. This page was updated on the 6th

Midland News reported that 2 have pleaded not guilty, Tamworth and one in another area. That delays sentencing. Date mentioned ;) but can't remember, ~week or so. The Tamworth riot hasn't been covered that much. Hotel attack, closer to setting it on fire than others and they also gained entry.

They are usually listed on the CPS website PR/News section.

But for clarity

there is the small matter of a trial and being found guilty, not simply more paperwork.

I know. One odd factor is a women that appears to being charged for live broadcasting. Reporter error or not - pass.

I got involved in a very heated discussion yesterday with somebody who is utterly convinced that these rioters are being treated differently. The level of anger he was displaying was off the charts. At one point he was jabbing his finger in my face. I kept telling him that the only real comparable event we have are the 2011 riots. Those sentences were similar to the ones given out for these far right riots. Perhaps the sentences we are getting now should actually be a bit longer because of the racially aggravated element. Here is an explanation from the Lord Chief Justice, when one of those sentences from 2011 was appealed. This was a guy who was sentenced to four years for trying to incite a riot on Facebook, even though nothing ever came of it.

Giving the judgment of the court, the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, Lord Judge, sitting with Sir John Thomas and Lord Justice Leveson, stated that there is "an overwhelming obligation on sentencing courts to do what they can to ensure the protection of the public", that "the imposition of severe sentences, intended to provide both punishment and deterrence, must follow" and that "[t]hose who deliberately participate in disturbances of this magnitude, causing injury and damage and fear to even the most stout-hearted of citizens, and who individually commit further crimes during the course of the riots are committing aggravated crimes"

Better not show him the following article!

Look at these fine specimens. The one on our right got 6 years. Good.

I've found some more details:

Meanwhile, David Wilkinson, 48, of Lorraine Street, Hull, who pleaded guilty to violent disorder, racially aggravated criminal damage and attempted arson, has been sentenced to six years in prison.

Sentencing them, Judge John Thackray KC described the scenes on 3 August as "12 hours of racist, hate-fuelled mob violence". On the incident involving the BMW, the judge said both men had intended to create a high risk of injury.

David Wilkinson, 48, was sentenced to six years behind bars after having a "prominent role" in riots that gripped Hull on 3 August.

He forced three terrified Romanian men from their car.

Wilkinson was part of a "baying mob" that left a BMW driver in fear for his life when more than 100 "angry" men descended on him and his two cousins, Hull Crown Court heard.

The group tried to drag them from the vehicle, before punching him in the head and attempting to hit him with a metal bar.

This was the BMW attack I believe.

9 years, although I'm not sure if that feels light for attempting to burn down a hotel with people inside..
seems fair enough to me, certainly shouldn't be less

in our one tier non political justice system (ha ha) we will no doubt see similar sentences for those who set fire to a bus (not knowing if there was still anyone on board) in the Leeds Harehill riots

Stop trying to compare totally different events.
These rioters were actively trying to burn people alive. Deliberately.

Arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered is the technical term for the charge I believe for those three.

The Farage rioter pleaded guilty to arson with intent to endanger life, one count of violent disorder, and possession of an offensive weapon - a police baton.

So they'll get much less.
