Putin absolutely needs to concede, and if we have to lift sanctions and let Russia back into the world economy, then may be that would be better. When we are all trading each other then there is less chance of conflict.

Yes, but the sanctions are in place for a reason. Let's not forget those reasons. Sanctions lifted as a reward for doing what's right, not just because it's a new president.

As much as I didn't want trump to win, I am now hoping he proves us all wrong and achieves greatness, and I am going to offer him my support, we need him to do well.

or go to nukes - he might back down, but cornering a bear could be dangerous. Russia is not only vast, but they don't care for their own population, would Putin be bothered if he lost 10 million of his citizens?

This was the argument at the beginning of the war, but with careful strategy the west has ramped up the nature and amount of weaponry supplied to ukrane, and zelenzki has attacked russsia within its own borders. Pootin is rational and will not use nukes, but the west has to fully supply the weapons ukrane needs and dig in for the long game.
