as I have said before, I am all for arming Ukraine with all they need, and I would allow them to attack targets deep inside Russia, I would love to see Putin put down and destroyed - but I also accept that could be a very dangerous thing to do.

There was a good book I read some years ago called the Grey Bees by Andrey Kurkov (worth reading). It was set in Eastern Ukraine and was wrote before the latest conflict began - There are areas in the far east that lean to moscow (god knows why but they do)

May be if it brought an end to this terrible conflict russia could annex some of it - but it would have to be on the understanding the rest of the Ukraine 95% of it) join the EU and NATO, and NATO still backed by the US build an enormous base there.


I would love Zelensky to be given everything he needs, including long range stuff that could seriously hurt Russia, I would happily pay more taxes, but unfortunately that is not going to happen now Trump is in charge, unfortunately a deal be done.
