Trump is talking sense

People do care that a trump is destroying America…..especially Americans.

When are you going back to twitter?
Wind your neck in.

I have said numerous times, American's can make their feelings known at the mid terms and 2029.

We live in democratic countries. On numerous occasions new leaders will be voted in only to divide opinion. The electorate can change things come next election.

Do we live in a democratic country? I don't think we do any longer. I think it is past tense. We aren't governed by the will of the people but by commissions and quangos who none of us can vote for or against. Our governments don't fulfill their manifestos or pledges much of the time. I guess that is why Trump is a beacon of hope for so many of us across the pond. He has grabbed the system by the throat and the pushback is phenomenal.
I forgot to put my usual blurb in my previous post to save folk replying with stuff like this ;)

I fully understand when it's asserted we live in a democratic country, a discussion often ensues. However technically, we do. And I'd still much rather live here than many other countries around the world.

And in the meantime, people should be free to discuss what is going on. These are absolutely fascinating times. Nothing has happened like this for many decades. But you seem to be trying to cancel anyone with a different point of view.

The mid-terms in America are rarely in the presiding Administrations favour: like a by-election in this country, voters kick off about local issues and pay little attention to the wider national debate on global concerns....if you can find a period in history when 'the will of the people' was paramount in any government then please feel free to post it.

I'll repeat, they have the mid terms and 2029 to make their feelings known.

Shock, horror. Change of governing party and leader. Not everyone is happy. Like that never happens ...

repeat it all you like but i still don't think you understand the voters feelings on any given issue won't affect Trump's administration. He'll be out in '29 any road, barring a constitutional change - which he may well try to enforce - and it'll be up to his minions to carry the torch onwards...

With Trump it's all about ego. Of course the mids don't affect the remainder of his term, however the wider party and whoever is eyeing up his position will watch them with interest in terms of life beyond 2029. As will Trump because of the aforementioned. If the mids indicate the electorate aren't happy with the first half, it can influence changes during the second.

I think you are right. The mid terms could be a major turning point. Not least if Trump loses one or both of his majorities. We could then see a proper battle between Trump and Congress over the powers he is claiming as his own.

That would be truly seismic.
It would be a constitutional crisis to rivel secession - Bush baby in his second term 'joked' how it would make things so much easier but as we can now see, the Republicans aren't kidding around.
