The West (leaders) have an unfounded fear that if Ukraine or parts of it should fall into Russian occupation permanently (which has pretty much happened already) there will be some threat that Russia will continue beyond Ukraine, its completely obvious Russia neither has the resources or military skill to do that, they're incompetent and exhausted militarily speaking, personally I think the West should tone it down, time to look after our own, when Russia turns off the gas as will happen at some point the West will be at their mercy and the Western populous will finally see sense and turn against their corrupt leaders. Maybe, probably unlikely but that's what needs to happen. The US will continue funding (at least until Trump gets in anyway) as it's costing them pennies to run down Russian military resources.

Yes, but can't. Nato bogged down, pinned down, trapped, and stuck in ukraine. It can't go anywhere else. The rest of the world is getting peace, development, and happy times. Russia is the biggest bringer of peace in human history.

Currently Russia control most of the Donbas region.

there is something like a 1000km front between Russian occupied territory and rest of Ukraine

if there was a peace agreement, Putin would simply use it to rebuild troops and restart aggression.
There is nothing to be gained by kicking the can down the road. If NATO / West had provided all the weapons needed before 2022, this war would never have started

I disagree it is an unfounded fear, Putin has invaded 5 countries already and Putin has stated his ambitions to be another Peter the Great, the Russian Imperialist.

It’s rather amusing that Putin had been giving billions to the military for years so he must have expecting state of the art shiny new vehicles heading into Ukraine.

Id loved to have seen his face when he discovered he had old rusty vehicles with rotting tyres

Precisely, his annual display/show of force in Red Square (or what was annual) is literally everything he's got, he thinks that's only the tip of his state of the art forces/tech when in reality that is it. I have long suspected that if it all actually kicks off only a fraction of his nuclear warheads will ever actually launch.
