There has been an announcement. EU releasing money to Ukraine shortly. Seems another head of Ukraine's central bank has just left the country. Don't know why. An earlier one who was caught out a while ago is thought to be living in London.
A report from the city of Zap .......... drones having a look and some more bangs. Very brief report so not much info.
Donbas area. Odd one from Ukraine's side saying they were having problems holding Russians off a town. War In Ukraine is saying very little is happening lately even in that particular area. The report mentioned Russia attacking with aircraft and helicopters but also showed that anti aircraft gear had shot down a missile.
Little happening doesn't mean there is no fighting - more no territory gains.
For the pedantic. There is always some fighting all over the place.

I read a report in a free paper today, which suggests Russian troops are waving the white flag before any combat, and that the Ukraine has set up a special phone number for Russians wishing the surrender, which is flooded with conscripts ringing on the battlefield, those conscripted, and even those expecting to be conscripted soon.

Make no mistake about it, if it wasn't for Putins invasion of the Ukraine, Britain would in a trade war with the EU.

WTF......
It could be that if you have anti social neighbours who continually invade your property and try to kill your family and burn your house down, you are going to want to take measures to secure your property.

That's why Ukraine wants to join NATO.
like the Baltic states
Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania suffered badly after invasion.
And Finland
The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary were also invaded and occupied by the Soviet empire.
As was Ukraine
Putin wants to restore the Empire.

what about neighbours that get upset and offer support when a neighbour on the other side starts throwing his weight about ?
In any nuclear conflict the biggest losers would be those countries closest to Russia.
The USA being 1000's of miles away, would be relatively less affected, ( with emphasis being on the word relatively).
Nuclear weapons are essentially teror weapons designed for the mass killing of civilians.
It is interesting to note that nuclear weapons have only ever been used against civilian target's.
During the Korean war MacArthur wanted to use nuclear weapons against the Chinese and Korean military but due to the fact the Chinese and Korean military were dispersed over a vast geographical area, it was deemed that the use of nuclear weapons would be of limited value.
That is nonsense.
The Soviet Union dissolved and these countries were allowed independence by the Russian Federation.
It was the expansion of the EU and NATO into these former Soviet state's which is causing an existential threat to the Russian state.
Fair enough, if the EU and other interests want expand their portfolio of client states in Eastern Europe and beyond, then they should be honest and admit that their objectives will only be achieved by the use of military conflict.
