The EU has morphed from an economic entity in the early days into a political project with ambitions to become a superpower.
Like a black hole, little countries that are drawn into the EUs orbit find that there is no escape.
Today we find we live in a Europe where there is war, a continent flooded with illegal immigrants, declining living standards, millions facing the prospect of deciding whether to heat or eat.
All the above is due to the expansionist policies of the EU, they started a civil war in the former Yugoslavia by encouraging the member states to agitate for independence.
The EUs policy of interference in the internal affairs of other states by funding and supporting political groups to agitate for "reform" in unstable countries like Ukraine has led to disaster.

The EU does not have expansionist policies. Countries are queuing up to be allowed to join. How do countries join Russia? Russia invades them.

Serbia created wars with its former partners. Russia habitually invades its neighbours.

Your desire for Ukraine to surrender to the invader and again become a vassal state of the Russian Empire is repellent.
