I've also blame the leaders of Ukraine for doing what they did to the language and more well documented in the other thread look it up

Ive already debunked that claim.

It’s not “well documented in the other thread” - you just kept repeating the same Daily Mail garbage.

I recommend you educate yourself and read this article in full

How Russia weaponizes the language issue in Ukraine

“Despite the upgrade of Ukrainian following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the language has continued to play second fiddle to Russian throughout much of the country and in many aspects of everyday life. Ever since the 1990s, efforts to regulate and promote the use of Ukrainian in place of Russian have proved politically explosive and have come to symbolize independent Ukraine’s post-Soviet identity crisis. Meanwhile, the national debate on the language issue has reflected lingering divisions within Ukrainian society over attitudes towards the dominant role played by Russia in the country’s past.

This politicization of language does not reflect the day-to-day reality of bilingual Ukraine, where both Russian and Ukrainian are commonly spoken and widely understood across the country. Russian remains in the ascendancy in most Ukrainian cities, while Ukrainian tends to dominate in rural Ukraine and across the formerly Hapsburg lands of the west, but the linguistic fluidity of the country is such that it is not uncommon to hear both languages spoken in a single conversation”

There wasn't much use of cruise missiles in 1940.

they first became popular en masse in 1944. Nearly seven thousand were launched at Britain.

the technology was rather simple by todays standards, and navigation poor.

I expect modern factories could produce them with complexity somewhere between a washing machine and a small car.

If they were cheap enough and launched in large numbers they could overwhelm air defences.

The good news is behind the scenes processing is being made. However, you can only take these at face value as Putin cannot be trusted.

Edit - just read that the Ukraine claims 15000 Russian causalities, a change from the number of troops killed and this figure IMO is more accurate.

Good afternoon

:) :)

There has already been an example. 6 launched 4 got through. Not much news today. A barracks reduced to rubble and coaches out of Mariapol. Others seem to be working as well.

There is mention of missiles long ago but I don't think they had any where near the precision then. There were some odd TV broadcasts about them long ago using inertial guidance and image recognition. Changing direction etc. Probably a fabrication really. There was a rather strange storage facility built not far from B'ham. Some wondered if that is what went in.

What I wanted to get across is why use certain types of equipment.

Apparently the Russians have fired
Hypersonic missiles

they travel at 5 times the speed of sound

ideal for hitting / destroying underground targets ?

No it is not, the shelling and missiles that are destroying the country are being fired by Russian military
The Ukranian military had been devastating Eastern Ukraine since 2014 killing civilians and destroying property before the Russian intervention.
Maybe you missed that.

$5 million tanks are being destroyed by $20k shoulder mounted anti-tank weapons and retail drones from PC World
These weapons are suitable for defensive purposes.
At some point the Ukranian army will have to go on the offensive to retake territory.
What happens then.

Maybe you have been mis-informed.

Pro-Russian activists were the main cause of disturbances in the east areas of the Ukraine.

My source is a German friend whose company has ( had ) a subsidiary operation in the eastern area of the Ukraine.
