Clearly it is true.
We know,. MBK has known it since page 30, too. He's just too embarrassed to admit he was wrong.

84. The Abortion Act 1967 requires that an abortion under ground A to E is certified by two doctors, who must each sign a Department of Health HSA 1 form to give notification that the abortion has been approved and on what grounds, and an HSA 4 form for information including patient details, the method of abortion and gestation time.

85. A range of explanations have been given for the introduction of the requirement for two doctors' signatures:

  • to ensure that the provisions in the legislation were being observed ;[96]
  • to protect women;[97]
  • to protect doctors from breaking the law ;[98]
  • to demonstrate the medico-legal concerns of Parliament, namely that the 1967 Act did not make abortion legal but conferred upon doctors a defence against illegality—the two doctors are expected to police each other; [99]
  • to show the seriousness of the decision to terminate; [100]

Explain how the abortion can be carried out before the two doctor approval?
Well… as you know. The abortion act merely requires an opinion formed in good faith not an approval. HSA1 and 2 etc is covered by separate legislation and there is no question that these are needed as part of the process of carrying out an abortion.

The legislation (not the abortion act) but the governing regulations give time limits for when the forms must be completed.

See page 3 - forms must be communicated as soon as possible after the event and within 24 hours.

Clearly it is true.

you keep refusing to say what happens if doctors don’t sign….because you know full well no sign = no approval
The abortion can go ahead as long as the opinion is formed. I’ve said it dozens of times.

Explain how an abortion can lawfully proceed, without the approval of two doctors - please.
I just did… again read page 3. There are time limits for completing the paperwork AFTER THE FACT

Your entire argument stems around the need for HSA1 as an approval document before the abortion can proceed.

Oops. Sorry to sink that one for you.

Waffle. I have already stated the paperwork can be corrected. However answer this....

..I want you to explain how the abortion can proceed without the approval of two doctors - please?

You keep refusing to admit there are 2 meanings of approval

You keep refusing to answer what happens if doctors don’t sign the form
