Vive La France!

No one has claimed on here that they are approving the procedure or the why/how the woman has come to her decision. It is only a clinical judgement on whether the criteria in the law are met. Nothing more.

It it still ultimately an approval to proceed, or not.
You literally say it’s not an approval and then say it is. Give your head a shake.

Do you have any?
I've got gazillions. I'm referring to the case law concept, not any judgement in particular. It doesn't depend on specific words being used, words have meanings and laws are interpreted.

It's not an approval of the woman's life choices, it isn't a moral judgement. It is approval that at least one of the criteria in the law are met, nothing more.

. To say that it hinges of specific words being present is ridiculous.
Correct.
It's really odd that no one has addressed why, if so many learned distinguished people have documented the word approve in their text, why they think that word is wrong.
Why did they use the word 'approve' in the Parliamentary Report and then go on to corroborate it in the glossary.
Please explain?

A form to be filled in can’t override legislation, parliament is supreme, as the brexxers found out when they tried to push through the referendum result without an Act. The wording is certify and opinion, not approval however you define that.
Semantics.

It says approval. And if 2 doctors are not of the correct opinion it can't proceed. It is not approved

Semantics.
..waffle and deflection.
Why did the Parliamentary Report and why do so many others refer to the whole two doctor process as approval? Why are there no inverted commas, or caveats or disclaimers?

Explain why they are wrong.

Neither MBK or his mate can explain this supposed gross injustice.

And illegal if not approved by two doctors.
Nonsense. Where does the law say two
It's not an approval of the woman's life choices, it isn't a moral judgement. It is approval that at least one of the criteria in the law are met, nothing more.
and what if they were wrong. This Approval and Certificate of Approval - what are the legal ramifications of certifying something as fact and approving it?

perhaps they expected you to read the actual law?

You'd expect to find that in the declaration?

I approve that the above opinion was made in good faith?

We hereby approve that we are of the opinion, formed in good faith, that in the case..

except the word certify is used..

how odd.

I know why the law says what it does, it doesn't stop people interpreting what it means in real life.

Doctors have the power to let something proceed, or not, based their opinion of whether legal criteria are met. I don't know why there is such resistance to calling it approval. It has the same effect in everyday use of the words.

As pointed out, lots of other people/publications, who should know better, use the word approve. Has the world fallen apart? Has anyone complained about the words used? Why has no one insisted they change it? Or maybe you have, with no response.

It’s not a medical exemption ffs. It’s a legal exemption. An exemption from prosecution.

Not a sick note that says you don’t have to do PE
They are medical exemptions

As defined by the law.

Please try to avoid strawman arguments, it makes you sound like you don’t know what you are talking about
