nonsense
You are just making it up
You are just making it up
she doesn't need their approval - if she did - it would say so in the act.It matters not to whom ever it applies. As long as the woman knows she needs authorisation from two doctors for the abortion to be legal. MBK just did not know the law on this and is why he is furiously back-peddling now with childish semantics.
From an abortion act point of view. they are only required to form an opinion in good faith, that the criteria is met. With a pregancy of 24 weeks or less and simply not wanting it, it's enough providing the risk of abortion is not greater than giving birth. All things being equal, giving berth at full term carries more risk than abortion. What about the word "authorise" rather than "approve".
blah blah blah...irrelevant waffle
It is illegal to perform an abortion in the UK, without the authorisation of two doctors. The abortion is approved once the HSA1 form has been filled in correctly, dated and signed.blah blah blah...irrelevant waffle
Clueless. So you think a woman asks for an abortion because she doesn’t want to be a mum and two doctors assess her to decide if that’s a valid reason ?
Their assessment is entirely limited to the risks of the procedure and to determine if the pregnancy is beyond 24 weeks.
I’ve shown you the guidelines, the actual law (not glamour magazines version) and the NHS web page. None of it says you seek approval for the abortion and 2 doctors asses if your reason is valid. Their scope is entirely limited to the risk of the procedure, the time limit. and they are duty bound to act in good faith.
nonsense - it would say so in the act.It is illegal to perform an abortion in the UK, without the authorisation of two doctors. The abortion is approved once the HSA1 form has been filled in correctly, dated and signed.
None of your squirming, back-peddling or pedantry will change this.
Go to number 11 and get a grown up to read it to you.she doesn't need their approval - if she did - it would say so in the act.
2 Regulation 3(2) Abortion Regulations 1991 S.I. 1991/499 (referenced from the end of paragraph heading 3)nonsense - it would say so in the act.
Lol.Search for the word approval
And fill in, sign and date a HSA1 form, before the abortion is approved. Didn't you know? From an abortion act point of view. they are only required to form an opinion in good faith, that the criteria is met.
What would you call it when the two doctors have signed and dated the HSA1 form then?Lovely - where does it say they have to approve..
And if their opinion is that the criteria aren't met?they are only required to form an opinion in good faith, that the criteria is met
