Well, that went well didn’t it?

James Cleverly was speaking to Trevor Philips this weekend about this very topic.
Badenoch is seen by many as being on the right wing of the Conservative Party.[74] She has personally described herself as being on the "liberal wing" of the Conservative Party,[75] whilst being "not really left-leaning on anything".[76] She has identified English philosopher Roger Scruton and American economist Thomas Sowell as her influences, citing Sowell's Basic Economics as an influence.[77] She has also been characterised as a social conservative and "anti-woke" politician.[78][75]

Probably the one with least baggage who has also shown slight signs of flexibility. :) I wish 'em look with the rest especially Cleverly.

Yes he did, and the torys rejected proposals by the civil service to do the same, they also rejected suggestions by the civil service regarding cutting the winter fuel allowance.

He was stunned by the rookie errors being made by the Labour Govt.
Yes you are easily taken in by Tory grift.

James Cleverley an oxymoron if ever there was one

Like trying to burn migrants alive inside buildings?
Attacking police for stopping such attacks on migrants?
Himmy’s disinformation campaign.

People are being sentenced to prison for spreading racial hatred online. They weren’t anywhere near the illegal immigrant housing facilities and had no part in the arson or rioting (other than their stupid posts).

It's called "kicking the can down the road".

Regarding infrastructure, Tories don't maintain, sell off cheap to buddies, then leave taxpayer to eventually bail out.

If Labour try to maintain, the backlog requires lots of borrowing, tax rises, or schemes like PFI. Which the tories hammer them for.

Same old same old......

Would you take out a mortgage of £150k if I told you it was going to cost you £1m to pay back?

13bn NHS investment under PFI costs the tax payer 80bn.

Exactly.

He hasn't.

Just strict on riots. That some want to trivialise them is what's really scary
The trivialise only those that champion right wing ‘values’. If it’s Muslim bashing or setting fire to immigrant accommodation, then it’s merely a ‘demonstration’ in their eyes.

Mucking forons.

Do you think you should go to prison for longer if you rob a convenience store armed with a knife or post a racist article on twitter due to misinformation?

Yes or no?

Labour left NHS with lowest waiting lists in its history

Conservatives left NHS with 8 million people on NHS waiting lists

Yes or no?
if it was needed to make an example of people and put an instant end to riots, then yes

Do you think you should go to prison longer for attempting to burn people alive in a building, or for robbing a convenience store with a knife.

Yes or no?

Then we can get on to aiding and abetting

Longer prison sentences don't work.
no they dont.........America is a perfect example, the numbers of those in jail in USA went up from around 300,000 to 2 million without any reduction in crime rates.

but the fear of getting charged and sent to jail in a matter of days soon stopped wannabe rioters

If longer sentences wrok for rioters then surely it should work for your average criminal.
strawman argument

the difference is that the ultra rapid sentencing occured whilst the riots were still being organised around the country

did the riots stop?
A = yes they did

Longer prison sentences don't work.
we haven't tried those!
all we have done for decades is to have increasingly shorter sentences and the more lenient and more understanding we become the greater the rise in crime., its not rocket science

If longer sentences wrok for rioters then surely it should work for your average criminal.
perfect example, no one on the right will be rioting any time soon. We need to do the same for shoplifting, knife crime and traffic offences.

only problem is, we would have to release all the rioters to lock up the shoplifters, then release all the shoplifters to lock up the speeding and mobile phone obsessed drivers.

put up taxes and build more prisons
