It's just surface rust mainly, there's one damaged tube which I'll just weld a new section in to repair

One week of Amazon Prime membership! I went to use our food blender tonight and the rubber coupling between the motor and the blades shattered - it had hardened with age. Amazon sell a pair of new rubber couplings plus the tool to remove them for £7.99 but it was £4.99 delivery. I’d cancelled my prime membership two days ago after forgetting to cancel before my free month trial ended last month so was charged for another month but they have just offered me another week for 99p. I know what they are hoping - I MUST remember to cancel it this time!

Edit: I've set a reminder to cancel it next Friday and I’ll download some prime membership books to my kindle later. I’ll get my 99p's worth!

My new wellies. Handmade by a scoundrel! Funnily enough, despite inflation and Brexit, they are the same price as the last pair that I bought 10 years ago.

Wireless doorbell batteries not required, £14.38 old one has stopped working, can't be bothered to go in the loft & check the transformer & wiring

Had a surprise parcel from the Potscode Lottery this morning which carried much excitement as it was unveiled to reveal....

....two pairs of socks.

Not just any old socks. No! These are Seas Socks.
What the f. are Seas Socks, Odds?
Well, hold up there an' i'll tell y'all.

Seas Socks are partly made from fishing nets - regenerated nylon called 'Econyl', combined with organic cotton. So, every time i wear them i can feel smug in the knowledge that today i saved the life of a dolphin.

I'd rather have a cheque for a million squid.

I bought an MOT for the car today. £40. Ouch! After 40 odd years, I still can’t get used to paying for MOT's.
