The problem with surestart (I was a fan btw and my wife was manager of 3 children's centres) was that the target audience were the least likely to to take advantage of it. Despite targeting poor areas, middle class take up was higher than the needy so much of the benefit went to the very people that didn't need it.

Then you have completely misunderstood the whole meaning of white privilege.
White privilege is the new buzzword term to describe someone's skin colour as a tool that gets them through life easily.

The whole premise is to make it equal for all.
Yes the background to this is that people shouldn't be in poverty, but people need to stop focusing on skin colour.
And it has been widely said and proven many times that university will offer placements based on diversity over and above academic ability, in order to meet their quotas before the minority left scream at them for being racist.
I believe Mottie has first hand experience with underprivileged youths and is the basis or part of his business (correct me if I'm wrong). And dare I say likely has more of a clue than those sitting in their ivory towers reading the guardian and essentially despise everything (it is a really depressing newspaper)

Yes but Mottie's a racist, lot's of clever left wing remainer types on here say so.
I can't help wondering what 'they' do to help the underprivileged. I support several charities in that line, I've never done anything charitable that involves giving my personal time, family and friends excepted.

This was the lowest percentage for a FSM-eligible ethnic group other than Irish Traveller (29%), Gypsy/Roma (33%) and White Irish (49%). 55% of White Other FSM-eligible pupils met the expected standard, 67% of FSM-eligible Chinese pupils met the expected standard of development, and 66% of FSM-eligible Indian pupils did. 61% of FSM-eligible Black Caribbean pupils and 64% of Black African pupils met the expected standard. • Attainment 8 scores in 2018/19: FSM-eligible White British pupils had an average Attainment 8 score of 31.8, against an average for all FSM-eligible pupils of 34.9.
