In 1992, a black Conservative candidate stood for the safe Conservative seat of Eastbourne.

For the first time since 1950, Eastbourne did not elect the Conservative candidate.

Racism more important to them.
Two way street i see. Looks like labour voters didnt vote for him for some reason
Lord David Pitt

.
Pitt's second attempt to be elected as an MP came in 1970, when he was the Labour Party candidate for Clapham. Although this had been seen as a safe seat for Labour,[13] the Conservative William Shelton was elected. Racism was a factor in this election defeat

I bet they would vote for a cabbage if it had a blue rosette.
Some here thought Jeremy Corbyn would save the world and kick the Tories out.

It seems people don't vote for cabbages after all.

She was married at the time of her disposal. They jointly are allowed one home and only one home (for CGT purposes).

Nobody is disputing that.

At no point does she argue that her husband moved in to her property.

A bit of a red herring?

I don't know exactly what type of arrangement she is claiming they had. It's certainly not your typical middle class situation.

They were:

"Way past the midnight hour on June 12th, 1987, the BBC cameras were in place at Haringey Town Hall to see Bernie Grant become MP for Tottenham. Shortly after their election coverage relayed the news that Paul Boeteng had triumphed in Brent South and to complete the hat-trick, Diane Abbott won her seat in Hackney North".

So, Diane Abbot was the third black MP to be elected that night.
It doesn’t say Abbott was last

You need to read it again

you mean the same words " i think" that your tax expert used .. Glad we cleared that up
The tax expert used “I think” in a different sentence.

There is a reason we have sentences

Did you do English at school?

No wonder you reach so many wrong conclusions…..you can’t understand English.

He said I THINK pure and simple he did say I KNOW

When someone 'completes the hat-trick' do you think they were the first, second or third? It’s self-explanatory, even to a swervy idiot like yourself.

What a lot of fuss from a couple of diehard Tories trying to divert attention from the collapse of the Tory government and the rapidly approaching General Election.

Tory sleaze is too well known for them to stir up this argument.
