Angela Rayner

I don't know what a typical middle class situation is, but it's irrelevant. HMRC allow you exactly one home as a married couple. I suspect "like most ordinary people" that works out just fine. But no amount of special living arrangements changes the fact that she cannot dispose of a house that she is not living in and claim it was her home. She should have done that prior to getting married.
The fact is, it was her home. What is your gripe?

Is it just me that can see Notch for the lying, swerving, question avoiding loser that he is? I won’t bother replying to him any more as he has quite obviously been caught out, again, and all he can do now is just post irrelevant off-topic trash to divert away from what he has said. If you know, you know.

and then it wasn't so she has to pay CGT.

Just like me, in the example I uploaded.
was my home, then wasn't, so I pay CGT, because I owe it... like Rayner... oh wait... she thinks she is special and doesn't have to pay. How nice for her.

This is the point at which he gets the thread locked. We should not be to harsh with him as I think he has some sort of a mental problem.

Tories are about to get the boot

this thread full of grizzling gammons
You'd think they'd be relieved. Liz, Boris, grifters, scummy-sleazebags, liars, Brexit - the daily humiliation alone must be exhausting..

Nonsense.

When did she buy it? 2007
When did she move in with hubby 2009/2010
when did she get married 2010
When did she sell it 2015.

She gets barely 2-3 years discount for living in the property and at least 5 years is subject to CGT.
When she sold it, it was a second property as she was married. If she wanted to sell it without paying CGT, she needed to sell it in 2009, but that would have resulted in a discount clawback or her and hubby needed to move in to this house and sell his or earmark his as the second property subject to CGT.

where was her husband's home from 2010? Does she claim he moved in with her?

remember it is not "main" home that is the issue.. its the fact that she is married and can only have one shared with her husband.

She says it was her main home - see second point above
The question is where was their main home.

This is why CGT is due 2007 to 2015 less 2007 to 2009/10

She has claimed they didn't move in together until 2015.

I know that. Hence, why I posted on the first page!

I hope she's on good terms with her ex. One of them may have a (smallish) tax bill to pay.

No, he’s the forums liar.

The amount of times he’s been shot down is unreal. And then he has a tantrum and the thread goes.
