Big Numbers today

Meanwhile China reports no new deaths only infections from foreigners entering the country. Oh is that because everyone was vaccinated last year before 'the accident' ?

nice conspiracy theory there, lots for flat earthers so to get excited about :ROFLMAO:

But it seems very unlikely that China only had 3,300 deaths -Im not sure how accurate the information is coming from China.

Could well be but look at their 'reported stats' considering their size and population density in cities etc, i find it difficult to believe.

what should be noted is that China stopped internal flights BEFORE and external flights -which they said were down to regional government. It kind of appears as though they shut their own stable door first before warning the world.

More China bashing. Fact they handled it in a similar way to S Korea and Singapore. Deaths so far will be lower. I use so far as they seem to have eradicated the virus but at the expense of less immunity so have more concern about it coming back. As they were the first they had less time to prepare. Lots have checked their statistics as well and found no fault. That's why a number of "important" people have even visited. They have said that they are preparing for it to arrive again or another with similar problems and hope to carry on more or less normally if it does. Probably jump on the area that has the first new case and contact trace agressively from that.

Slow reporting - maybe but are you 100% sure the same wouldn't have happened if it cropped up elsewhere. It's a new virus and like others it may have just gone away. No country is likely to lock all out etc immediately.

Just goes to show how effective the technique is. But - it might go on for a long time at low rates -plenty of time to develop a vaccine.

Edit - signs are that it might even free a population of it.

Assuming a mortality rate of 1% then we've had about 600,000 people infected. Assuming 5% then that's a mere 120,000. Out of a population of about 66,000,000 that's about 1% of the population who've had it and may be immune. You need around 95% immunity to stop outbreaks.

Yes, we may have more people who are now immune either in absolute or percentage terms, but it's still a tiny tiny percentage and not enough to make any difference in terms of relaxing controls.

We will have the exact same difficulty in relaxing controls as China is experiencing.
 
Some countries have had zero testing and zero deaths, yet suddenly all the old people have stopped coming to bingo. Nobody knows why? Curious :confused:
