Death penalty

Should we bring back the death penalty

90% of women are subjected to female genital mutilation in Egypt.

Is it racist or me to say that’s a problem?
Or is it stating a fact?
no that is just wrong, as it done against their will, and against the law, even in some of them countries.
the difference is this a punishment, for breaking people right to breath, so why should you not have your right to breath revoked.

If you consider ours as higher, or better then yes. If not, then no.

Or even just different.

Which standards do you prefer ?
I prefer, to be able to make our own, supported by democratic means, which is denied to us, at the moment.
I like a referendum on the issue, and we go by the majority verdict.
I like the public right to get enough signatures, and force a referendum on any issue, which is compulsory to follow through with.
I like said referendums, subject to being rerun, after 30 years, unless you can prove the result was tainted by misinformation.
Or proof it was a very very bad idea to do, after the fact, which can trigger a re run.
So I say, I like the people to have more power, and Parliament and Politicians to have less power.

Even you aren't that blind?

I've never claimed anything of the sort. I've simply asked " WHO makes the decision of whether its clear cut, or not" ?

Feel free to answer, ask an adult if you need help to understand.

Who said you made any such claim ??

Ask an adult well er hmmm that counts you out than :giggle:

Why? Denied how ?

Referendums are bad ideas. We vote in Governments to make tough decisions, its their job, and they have access to much more information than the average person.

Not how democracies work.

I cba to go back through your drivel to point it out to you.

Stop trolling

The irony of coming from you :giggle:

I agree to an extent with you I can’t be bothered to back through your drivel ? And your ridicolous questions ??

Let’s hope you never get jury service doubt you would under stand the process or what you would actually be there for

Despite yer 3 degrees in what ever ;);):giggle:

Allegedly ???

Strawman argument

You said If I criticise Middle East countries for their capital punishment laws I must be racist.

I note you still have not addressed the point that modern, civilised democratic societies do not have the death penalty whilst those countries which have the death penalty are also the same countries which tend to have human rights abuses and restrictions on personal freedoms

I am guessing you are a Reform voter.

If so, you would upset to discover they want to cut your freedoms and give them to billionaires
