While i agree with the gist of F.Boys post, i have to remind him this isn't 1973 and the kind of behaviour tolerated then will be swiftly condemned today. If Fergie tried using his infamous hairdryer tactic on modern players he'd quickly lose the dressing room and be out of a job.
People working under pressure need to let off steam and the usual method of shouting and waving your arms about just won't wash with office workers who like to take cuddly toys and a comfort dog into the 'work space'.

A lot of politics today is about bullying, all political parties in power are guilty to a degree, it's good that the civil servants feel able to stand up to it in this case. Kings Counsel is not awarded lightly, read up on the requirements. Yes, lots of fools on here would love for the report to read that he threatened people, was verbally abusive and threw tomatoes in civil servants faces.

The report didn't state those things because they didn't happen. Read the report in full without bias or hatred, it really does find fault on both sides of the complaint, and is quite neutral, upholding two complaints but only in vague terms.

Personally, I think he should have kept his job, personally, I feel the CS had a vendetta against him and that is at least in part backed up by Tolleys report.

In the good old days it wasn't a scandal until you hired a hitman to kill your gay lover, faked your own death by drowning or as defence secretary, slept with a prostitute who was also sleeping with a member of Russian security, they were proper scandals.
