EVs modifying behavior of neighbours. They all come out to fight fire because they know their houses are at risk.
Interesting snippet in that report -'Why did our electric car parked in Spratton burst into flames?'
A family wants to know why its Mercedes caught fire despite being parked and not on charge.www.bbc.co.uk
Hmm.Seems this "explosion" blew one of the rear wheels clean off, but it came to rest against the rear quarter panel.

I mean, if it had been (say) barely 10 feet from (say) a garage door, or (say) another car, they'd have been sure to go up with it, wouldn't they? There would have been absolutely nothing left of either of them if an EV had gone up (sorry, "exploded") that close to them, would there...?
There's always the Ignore button.
If he hasn't already done it.
"In the last year, the [Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue] service logged 277 fires in road vehicles, three of which were categorised as electric or hybrid."
I would feel loved knowing my neighbors have me covered in my time of ruin. How lucky, do the EV owners feel?
Seems this "explosion" blew one of the rear wheels clean off, but it came to rest against the rear quarter panel. Very strange burn pattern too
Who has ever said ev's are suitable for all?My ICE, perfectly matches my needs and expectations, as I expected it would. Just yesterday, beginning with a full tank of diesel, it towed my 1.5 ton caravan, 70 miles, effortlessly, and the gauge only just moved off the F mark. We'll be touring around for the week, and yet in 7 days, I fully expect to tow back home, and still have most of that fuel remaining in the tank, with no need to keep topping up, worries about finding charging stations (there are none at all to be found here).
Not having 1 yourself is not the same as spreading false information about them to others.
What parameters are used to decide into which category a burning vehicle should be placed.277 fires in road vehicles, three of which were categorised as electric or hybrid.
That's your idea, of being right ?The evidence of your own eyes, ought to be enough, to confirm that as a fact. Numerous videos available on the 'net, numerous videos shown on various repected news programs.
I would guess that any vehicle on fire is in the category of vehicle fire. What parameters are used to decide into which category a burning vehicle should be placed.
Does a vehicle that self ignites when it is parked off the road gat categorised as a fire in a road vehicle ?
I'd assist my neighbours in any emergency.EVs modifying behavior of neighbours. They all come out to fight fire because they know their houses are at risk.
Depends. If neighbour's EV is on fire, the best policy is to let it burn out. If neighbour's ICE is on fire, I would give it ago.Wouldn't you ?
No. The best policy is to call the fire service and make sure the neighbours are safe.Depends. If neighbour's EV is on fire, the best policy is to let it burn out. If neighbour's ICE is on fire, I would give it ago.
