Male Police can strip search a female.

A person born as a male, who transitions to become a woman, is now authorised to forcibly strip search a female.

But not an EIP search. So just a pat down and 'remove your jacket please'.

Nothing to see here.

They are, and another more suitable officer should be found. It could also be deemed that a nurse or other medical professional would be better doing the search.
But isn't the point that a trans woman is in the eyes of the law, just that ,- a woman. So its not a case of people not being able to tell the difference, rather a female being tricked into consenting to an intimate search. because the law says protecting trans rights (in this case identifying a woman as a trans woman trumps protecting biological womens' rights.

Yes. But, again, what is the size of the issue? How many transgender BTP officers are there? Why would a senior officer choose a transgender person to carry out a forced search on a woman, when there is no doubt a woman could carry out the search?

You could say that, if the stars align, it could happen. That is a long way from scaremongering and implying it will become the norm. Has it even actually ever happened?

Do you really think that is the point of the policy? To trick people?

In the states if they pull some one over and arrest them ( woman) and there are no female officers available / present they have to search em / pat them down prior to putting them in the patrol car

They use the back of there hand when searching the bra area etc

all On body cams

That is the question, but answering it in the affirmative does not address the underlying issue of whether it is morally right. Would you object to marrying a bloke who identified as a woman? In a situation where you were given no choice? Like the issue of assisted dying society has got to address the underlying moral issues before it exports the decision to individuals
I'd certainly check before committing.

But this is all about a storm in a teacup. Nothing to do with marrying or getting close.

Just upholding the law and doing it legally .

It makes it a possibility and this is a point of principle regardless of the haters

It's a consequence of a policy that prioritises trans rights above women's rights. There's room for both

But it doesn't, the woman can object, and her rights take precedence. I agree it is a difficult one though.

and face criminal prosecution according to one police force at least (Appendix B), response to FOI.

additionally I discussed with a met plod last night. "If you object, they will do it by force". Hence the state sponsored sexual assault argument.

There are also a few plod with male and female warrant cards, to suit their gender fluid identity.
