A number of times at the airport. No big deal. Can't say I've ever taken any notice of the officer giving me a pat down. How often have you ever been stopped and been searched?

Fillyfacts™You'd take notice if you were naked and they had their finger up yer arris.
is that what you think any police officer (of any sex or definition) is after? the chance to do that, with witnesses in the room, taking into account the suspect may request another officer to search ?You'd take notice if you were naked and they had their finger up yer arris.
Thats the point, the policy is about trans detainees and assumes birth or chosen gender is a given. The penny hasn't dropped with the numpties at BTP whereas the Met - through experience of being in the spotlight - have realised there is an issueWhich it covers in the policy. It doesn't mention a man searching a woman, or vice versa, anywhere, that is just headline making.
The person being searched should be treated as per their birth certificate (or GRC only as necessary), man searches a man, or woman searches a woman. In the absence of any further information they will be searched by what appears to be their gender until proven differently.
You don't like that?
Of course it isn't a given, the policy says something different. Without further information a suspect will be treated as their apparent gender, until proved otherwise. It absolutely isn't a case of a suspect choosing which gender they are.Thats the point, the policy is about trans detainees and assumes birth or chosen gender is a given
"Chosen gender" doesn't appear anywhere in the policy.chosen gender
Literally ignoring the words written.Do you know whar JOG stands for, lol...

Clueless. The policy applies the gender recognition act to The police and criminal evidence act.Of course it isn't a given, the policy says something different. Do you want them searched as per the gender on their birth certificate, or not?Thats the point, the policy is about trans detainees and assumes birth or chosen gender is a given.
You can’t be this stupid. You understand that when it says “same sex” it includes “acquired sex”.EIP by a trans officer - ZERO.
