Russian state news calls for liquidation of Ukaranuans against the war ??

the propaganda piece published by
News agency RIA Novisti declares that Russian forces should not distinguish between Ukraine military and civilians (?)

“Denazification is necessary when a significant part of the people most likely the majority has been absorbed and drawn into politics by the Nazi regime”

In a way it's comforting, or perhaps I should say not comforting, to realise there is incompetence all the way from humble small businesses and organisations right up to national and international politics. So much dilly dally, so much bureaucracy, with more than a dash of incompetence thrown in, it's almost laughable. Our energy strategy (us and EU) predicated on green agendas and/or maintaining relationships with some dodgy countries.

Caught with our proverbial pants down and now frantically, or maybe not so frantically, trying to come up with solutions.

Meanwhile, we have those protestor muppets who want all use of fossil fuel, oil etc stopped immediately. Anyone with more than a few braincells must surely realise, rightly or wrongly, we are where we are and any sort of strategic transition is going to take years.

As agreed by NATO / UN I wonder what effect they will have - bit of a political action maybe. They need fuel and where they will be going in is a long way from where the action is.

There are these as well. Probably others too

The Ukrainians have several makes of antitank missiles even it seems some from Germany.

:( Talk about the ICC. Not all countries agree with it and elements of don't point that at us even by the USA. Seems there is more evidence of executions. TBH I don't see how building damage can really figure when both sides have been hitting it. ICC say it will take a long time and much work done by Ukraine.

Yer missing the point. ANti tank missiles are, overwhelmingly, defensive. Tanks not.

Those anti tank missiles you show are 20+ years old.
Ukraine make their own anti-tank systems. I don't know individual specs but they can be found. The NLAWs (as sent by UK and loved in field, we're told), can penetrate half a metre of armour. Stingers more, up to 900mm iirc. That's impressive. Reactive armour not a problem - they have a double charge, the first one just deals with the RA, the second goes through, and the tank and occupants are done.
Russia hasn't wheeled out their latest and greatest T-14 tank. They're thought to have a hundred or so of them, cost of around $4m each.
It must be rather annoying to see them burst like zits when snagged by a weapon costing 1% of that.
Tanks are Ok as mobile artillery - they can fire several km, but cosying up to your bogeyman in a street fight in one, is unhealthy.

That is a bit of politicing by Trust and nothing else. She's going to sort it out.

It was interesting to watch and hear her behind a podium next to one with Blinken. He mentions $billions, rather a lot more than what we can match which she mentioned. I sort of liked when he mentioned he had 30years of politics in the strategic area with a bit of a side ways glance. USA well that is how they see foreign relations. I'd guess we would need to select diplomats to achieve the same thing.

I've nothing against UK flag waving but reality needs considering.

It reminds me of something actually. Talk of an EU army and NATO type thing. Laughed at but could compete with the USA or at least stand a chance as would a trading euro Merkel threatened that due to USA sanctions she wasn't happy about but didn't and may have run into problems if she had.

During this Russian invasion the EU have given 1 billion euros to the Ukraine in aid

during the same period the EU have palmed over 35 billion euros to Russia

I didn't miss that actually. Just wondered if they will have more effect on the outcome and mentioned a problem with using them. Sudden big bangs and variations on that may happen when the get there or on the way to where they are needed as well.

A lot of the military items in eastern europe are ex soviet and dated. I mentioned a Chechen shown shooting something that is extremely old. Some form of rifle anti tank item. Might have been used as wasting one for the cameras saves the good stuff. That was on the Ukraine side.

The UN mentioned that 74 lesser countries are on the verge of boiling over.Food and prices etc.

Out of interest the president of Georgia thinks that Zelensky needs to think about what is happening to his country.

More interest - Biden is sending Patriot missile system to Taiwan. They have already sent stuff China isn't happy about. China and Taiwan's relationship is a curious one

Taiwan remains one of the biggest investors in mainland China, too. Taiwanese factories and retailers regard the mainland as a source of relatively cheap labour, embrace its geographic proximity, speak a common language and prize its giant domestic consumer market. From 1991 to mid-2021, Taiwanese investors had 44,577 projects in the mainland totalling US$193.51 billion, according to a Taipei government website; cross-strait trade was US$166 billion in 2020.

You're still missing the point. Whether they work well or not is irrelevant, Tanks are not defensive weapons unlike so far, everything else. I find no more than a vague statement of agreement with others in NATO, it's not a policy thing.

But a member of NATO, with some sort of agreement, has initiated sending non-defensive weaponry to Ukraine to support Zelensky's fight against Putin. It's a first.

This from some less biased, says no tanks, and has some other interestng detail.

Much of the Russian eqpt is old and knackered too - so what? The Czech tanks are T-27, I think pretty old Russian things. It would depend how updated they are , ref their utility.
