Putin, arse, elbow

Where?

Earlier it was 3 buses, two of which ad been stopped.

Latest reports I see now are "About 100". Still only about 3 buses, then.
They're still saying that's out of 1000.

60 buses were mentioned as being available. Who has got out - not really enough info around. Russia has shown some but Russia. They would be checked in Russia. Those into Ukraine last time I heard hadn't arrived where they are expected - the place beginning with Z.

All buses get stopped at Russian and Ukraine check points. That I assume was part of the UN's negotiations. Soldiers must remain was mentioned. Zelensky isn't happy about that. So on the face of things exits to Ukraine wont be quick. That aspect was used to explain delays. AlJ, BBC just mentioned some had got out. How many is being disputed.

AlJ also showed blast damage from missiles ~50km out from the Donetsk fighting area. It landed near to an apartment block. They didn't show or mention what else was near so may have been something critical.

Poland seems to be the only one who wants the west to get directly involved also 100% convinced they will be attacked next. Migs - fly to a USA| base - US say no. Military people think the planes would not help anyway. The fact that they want them may suggest too many have been shot down or for some reason they can't use what they have.

Rumour says that the USA is buying soviet ammunition calibres. They have called it none standard ammunition and are sending it to Ukraine.. If bough it is probably from ex soviet states. It would be interesting to know about all of their NATO contributions. Do they measure up?

Agree, Poland is v important .

In terms of Russia attacking it I have my doubts. If they do NATO becomes pointless so I am pretty sure they wont. They would finish up facing NATO who have no back out alternative. This fits in with a view that Ukraine is really a you will listen to us from Russia. It goes back to Crimea and Russia not being prepared to loose a strategic base. The west now doesn't have a back out option on Ukraine. Neither does Russia. There was an interesting run down on Zelensky on BBC. Very recent and probably on iPlayer. His view is pretty clear.

It's now over 100 evacuated from the steel works but Azov video. AlJ, just on. Some people have reached Zaporizhzhia but under their own steam. I'd expect some blame games if these people don't appear soon. Zelensky wants his troops back Russia wont let them out. Take you pick. Some going to Russian controlled areas mentioned again. Unless the Red Cross or the UN comment who knows what is going on really. The UN's main man would not comment on how things finished up saying talking about it might interfere with it happening.

The other option on ammunition is US has decided to make it or some one is.

Interesting comment about reliability and military equipment. I wouldn't assume east and west are much different in that respect. The coming talk about switching to attack may be interesting but if tanks and defended positions they will have the same problem Russia has had. Both sides are using artillery and mortars currently and both of those leave a mess.

Another explosion in Russia not far of the boarder - Ukrainian saboteurs I would assume or they have something with range and precision already. Maybe Helicopters again or missiles?

Looks like the BBC is rebroadcasting the Zelensky run down at 11-30 today.

That is a possibility. But there are other possibilities

Russian anti-war activists carrying out sabotage.

Staff at the oil storage being negligent when they are under pressure to get enough fuel to the military.

There's a fairly long but fascinating write up from RUSI here.

https://www.rusi.org/explore-our-re...es/operation-z-death-throes-imperial-delusion

Interesting bits include the incompetence of the paratroopers who tried to seize the airports in the first wave (planning the operation over the radio in the clear) the utter lack on planning for the armoured columns and the heavy dependence of the Russian smart weapons on US, UK and other western nations electronics.

Well, if they are, NATO will have no choice but to get directly involved militarily. Which is why, IMO, it won't happen.

If you take nukes out of the equation, the combined force of the 30 NATO countries could take Russia out and ****head knows it.

The smart money is on Moldova being the next victim.

Given the nukes it would have to be fought in the country that is invaded or MAD kicks off. The alternative would be a Russia so weak it can't afford it's nukes any more.

Maybe eventually but I doubt if it will be soon.

Interesting chat about the arms trade, wars and if you listen carefully the people who talk about wars at both ends - the war of words. Ex Pentagon leaker who thanks to Tricky Dicky being bent didn't get locked up.

OK it has a slant but also some facts.
I agree.

The Russians don't have enough troops in Ukraine for an assault on Moldova at the moment and the ones that are there are too thinly spread.

But that could change if Pootin declares war on Ukraine on 9 May which would allow him to pour more troops in.

Well it looks like Lavrov has up set the hell out of the Israelis ???

stating that Hitler was a Jew

has not gone down very well ???

Who'd have thought it.

It might mean that Israel starts to take a dimmer view of Russia, which is very important given Israel's advanced semiconductor industry and the Russians need for top end kit for their smart weapons.

But Russia is focused on its internal messaging, so all RT will have is snippets of their foreign minister on Italian TV and a random talking head explaining how this has made Italy think about things.

Still waiting here of news of any arms from the west..

The $33b still (it seems) hasn't been approved. It seems it will be voted on when the US Speaker returns from Kyiv / Poland.

The Mariupol evacuation is getting a little mysterious. Reports from Kyiv that Russia has taken out a critical bridge.

stating that Hitler was a Jew
It seems from comments that this has cropped up in the past and discounted by historians. Who, when, why - pass.
