Putin, arse, elbow

You've probably watched this
Well I've been giving links to it for 10 days or so! They are updated daily. Quite boring to listen through when they're half an hour or more, but he goes round all the fronts, and sometimes talks about specifics for 5-10 minutes. One day it was about some problems the Ukes are having with maintaining strange foreign donations or equipment. They cannibalize to get parts etc.
He's pro western but factual as he can be.

I remember reading about that theatre siege. Didn't they work out that the Russians has suppressed everyone in there with gas?

latest news on Kherson region May 11th:

Odesa-Kherson OD.
There has been little activity in the Kherson-Odesa OD. Missile strikes increase against Odesa while tensions remain high along the Moldova border as Russia attempts to fix Ukrainian forces in this area from being redeployed to other critical fronts

Ukrainian artillery continue strike Russian supply depots in Kherson
Ukrainian resistance in Kherson remains persistent

Yes an anaesthetic. Tough situation - no chance of using the London embassy method - send the SAS in rather quickly when they acted knowing were people were. The place was full.

It's an area that received mixed reviews due to the nature of the gas used with no suggestions about how it could be solved with low loss of life.

Apparently there will be serious Russian ??

measures taken due to Finland joining Nato ???

Better to say a battalion of kit as casualties are unknown. The aerial photos are striking.

As for bridges...
It's also a single point of failure and an artillery and airstrike magnet. Bridges are important.

One report says that Ukraine spotted the buildup of forces in advance and scouted possible bridging points. They left an observation point and heard the noise of the engineering boats, despite fog and smoke cover. The Russians were able to finish the bridge and get 30-50 vehicles over it before it was cut by artillery fire and then completely reduced with airstrikes and artillery. Theres an implication that troops were also in action to bottle up the beachhead but no details I've seen yet. The engagement lasted two days.

Comparing with your link. It shows both sides have units away from the Donbas area.

The USA Howitzers were sent with tow trucks. Might allow them to carry more shells around.

I'm still confused about Zaporizhzhia. An AlJ reporter was in the area and mentioned Ukraine falling back on the way to it and showing preparations being made in the town with an excavator. This map shows 2 BTG's sitting behind trenches ( ;) I think ) going on comment in the other source of info.

BBC has just reported lots of Russian tanks destroyed at a river crossing. Seen as a gamble by the Russians that would have been a significant gain if it had worked out. Said to be done via a huge artillery barrage. Gear ?? not sure but circumstantial info suggest western stuff is getting through. Reliable sources for obvious reasons wont comment.

BBC also showed a looting video, captured with security cameras. Say 6 walking about. Talking to a watchman, leaving, 2 coming back and shooting him. Gain - one got a swig of something out of a bottle. Then he spotted the camera.

The M777 is a towed artillery piece. If you don't tow it then it doesn't move

Oh dear - I wonder why the USA decided to send trucks specifically designed to move them around. Obviously in you view not relevant.

Artillery ammo typically isn't carried by the towing vehicles. The towing vehicles carry the gun crew.

It's not particularly interesting, my guess is they basically grabbed a national guard units' kit and shipped everything that would fit in a C5.

Ukranian reports state that there were a 1000 ? Russian casualties
In this bridge crossing caper

figure of a 1000 has not been substantiated ?????

Casualties means someone who can't fight the next day. Any wounded that have retreated to Russian lines will be hard for Ukraine to verify. As would counting the number of bodies in burnt out vehicles. That starts to need forensics teams, and to wait for the fires to go out and unexploded ordinance to be made safe.

It would be difficult to find out. Justin's video source outlines what a BTG can consist of but it's not clear what was used in this attempted attack. They can contain a mixed selection of gear and foot soldiers. Claims from either sides have to be questioned really. Russia's will be. Early on NATO claims on troop losses didn't match the other source. There is lots we do not know.

The important aspect is that Russia have lost a lot of kit. Next one is what they have left. ???? This one to me sounds like another where western intelligence has helped. It even things up in relationship to what Russia has. They will be fed Russian movement info all of the time and probably have radio equipment to allow that.

Turkey do not seem
( at the moment) to happy about Finland and Sweden joining Nato

apparently they have given sanctuary to some that Turkey view as terrorists ( Kurds)

????

Ukraine are planning a big push into occupied territory ?

they say they have enough arms / weapons to arm a million men
