Thought Ben Young's had come on at one point when the kicking game was resorted too.

What a match. When was the last time NZ went into a RWC knock out game as underdogs. Probably the 1991 SF against Australia? NZ seemed a bit lacking in attack. I don't really follow sport these days. Are they missing some of those huge beasts in the backs which they had for many years? But their technique and their precision were outstanding. That should have been the final!

Gutted for Wales, they didn't turn up today and the argies were well up for it, fair play to them. All blacks were magnificent, fully expectd the Irish to win but they met their match in a fantastic game.

Unbeaten for a year, winning games for fun; but when it mattered - really ****ing mattered - the Irish ran out of steam. In the NFL 'the streak' is a blessing and a curse, teams fear going up against you with such a strong breeze in your sails, but fans know with each passing game that somethings gotta give sometime and the wind will blow right in your face.
At the end, those final five excruciating minutes when they only needed one score, they looked like a line of shipwrecked survivors, flinging themselves against a range of black rocks, only to be hurled back into the rising tide as rugby history consumed another great Irish side in a rugby World Cup q-f.

The Welsh ballsed it right up - but what a tackle by the Argie in the corner!

Now, only the English remain: they will, won't they?

Normally you'd expect new Zealand to beat Argentina but how much have new Zealand got left in the tank after that game.

Enough to put the Pumas on a plane, i'd say.
NZ know how to get the job done at this stage of a tournament and they get stronger with each game.

It's starting to look like Webb Ellis will continue his long stay in the Southern Hemisphere, at this rate. But the French are going to have to play the game of their lives to get through against the world champions. Last night's game was epic: tonight could become legend.

You take all the romance out of it. Lol

What's love got to do with it? :D

And what the f. were England playing at?
The game was in their pocket and they decide to add drama for the last 10 minutes. Why?

They did what Wales, Ireland and Scotland failed to do. Made hard work of it at times and Fiji made them work for it despite the antics of the 9 replacement. Oh well at least we made the semi final. Now to sit back and see who is going to send us home.
