There is no such thing as "two tier policing"

Funny how they can use video and many have already been sent down, yet on video we can clearly see police being assaulted and yet they delayed even charging them.

They bring in special procedures for national rioting, exactly the same as 2011. And the ones sentenced so far have pleaded guilty. There's nothing suspicious. It's a total red herring to link the two.

And how does the Manchester incident compare with other similar cases? I presume you have done the (pre-rant) research?

3 pleaded not guilty this week. 2 related to Tamworth and the other Stoke but may have that wrong,

An interesting sentence today. Woman, 50's added to a post about repairing a mosque damaged by riots. She posted no, blow the place up with all of the adults in it.

15moths, Judge's comment - keyboard warriors must learn to control themselves. He didn't see her as the type that would take part.

Totally different. It wasn't a riot. Court time has been increased to emergency levels - to handle the rioters. Not other cases.

Some one on the box mentioned that the Tory had sold 30% of courthouses to reduce costs. Rape cases have been known to take 7 years to sentencing. The whole shooting match is in a bit of a mess. Seems the 7 years is unique but the times are not what they have been in the past.

I would imagine Lucy Connolly is having sleepless nights.

A woman who called on Facebook for a mosque to "be blown up with the adults inside" has been jailed for 15 months.

Julie Sweeney, 53, of Cheshire, admitted a charge of sending a communication threatening death or serious harm, when she appeared at Chester Crown Court.

Why? Hardly anyone else does.
I got carried away before and asked for my account to be deleted.

I needed a break and I’ve realised I don’t need to wind people up as a sport.

The few people on here who are aggressive will simply be ignored

Thanks for the Welcome, you’ve always been friendly

This place can be very toxic.

But I suspect most of them would sit quietly and drink their shandy, if you met them down the pub.

Its nearly 400 people now and I suspect most of them had no clue they were breaking a law with such severe consequences.
There is talk of using a different charge. Rioting - max sentence 10 years.

I think it's probably going too far. These people would be better to plead not guilty if they can afford good council.

Rioting needs to establish the link to a common purpose with at least 12 people. I know the judge is hinting that he thinks its there, but Its not for a Judge to decide.

Serial burglars, shoplifters etc get a lot less.
