There is no such thing as "two tier policing"

A young girl was murdered in my area more than year ago, still no trial date
Was there video evidence of the person actually murdering her?

No? Then there is no comparison between the two cases.

I see no reason at all for not charging them given the strength of the video evidence against them.

And I see no reason for not taking their time, and building a solid case for maximum deserved and warranted punishment.

You'd be the first to squeal if the CPS went for a solid-but-trivial charge, just so they could turn around a slam-dunk guilty in a matter of days..........

Obviously, a court case would not happen within about 48 hours because they're not rioters and they're not likely to plead guilty.
What legal qualifications do you possess? Speaking a layman I want the CPS to compile a strong case that a smart defence brief cannot have thrown out of court, if it takes time so be it.

I would imagine the policeman kicking the guy in the head makes the case tricky

the criminal justice system is at point of collapse

the govt pulled out all the stops to get instant charging and sentencing....to scare people off rioting, which I would say it had an impact

But my guess is that all the other ongoing cases will now be more delayed, including the one of the murder in your area sadly

Most (all?) of the rioters who are being sentenced now have plead guilty.

Most of them are also repeat offenders with previous convictions, the met said 70% had violent convictions.

They're the ones where the evidence is clear, the charges are indisputable and their solicitors are telling them they've got no chance so might as well plead guilty and enjoy the reduction in sentence.

Pleading guilty does result in much faster processing.

On the topic of two tier policing and as part of the ongoing 'bear ****s in woods' series, the defense and terrorism organisation RUSI says there is a two tier policy. The right wing gets away with more

For those unaware of RUSI, they are not generally known to be bleeding heart liberals.

Very probably means he is out of a job. Maybe a charge. Change the result of a court case. I doubt it. He needed to be subdued and had been when kicked

One other factor is his family being keen on medical treatment.
Arachnoid cysts are the most common type of brain cyst. They are often congenital, or present at birth (primary arachnoid cysts). Head injury or trauma can also result in a secondary arachnoid cyst. The cysts are fluid-filled sacs, not tumors.
Reports of him having a cyst. ?????
