They Shoot Horses, don't they?

What choice? If someone is mentally ill, are they in the position to make a rational choice.
Need to be of a sound mind.

Why do you keep trying to bring up false claims?

What is wrong with someone having the choice to decide ? It is not compulsory.

It isn't about preventing people in pain killing themselves, its about preventing people being killed without their consent.
No-one under this bill will be 'killing themselves...

This is about assisted dying, not suicide!

And people being killed without their consent is called murder...

You are a very confused person!

Seems to me that those who wish to refuse that choice are sad sadistic people...

'You will suffer' it appears is their fall back position when trying to defend the indefensible...

And god botherers regularly dismiss the ills of the world by claiming an imaginary friend(s) gave humans 'free will', and their imaginary friend(s) are thus exonerated from what humans choose to do...

Well if said imaginary friend(s) gave humans the 'free will', how come that doesn't include the freedom of choosing whether to die in pain or not?

I quote from a fairy tale that some god botherers seem to like...

"Unique among all of God's creation is man, given the ability to freely choose how he will behave"

What an inverted pyramid of piffle.

Quoting de Piffle Meister won't help your argument.

The new law is classic british bureaucracy, for example you have to wait 14 days from the high court approval to deliver the “medicine” What happened to helping a person in absolute agony? The state will also have a big say, for example if there is a mental capacity issue between the original patient decision and the weeks it will take for the forms to be signed off. NHS waiting times here we come.
...which is nonsense.

Some Catholics follow different rites from Rome e.g. the eastern Catholic church. Some Protestants regard themselves as Catholic in the sense they believe that they follow the true word of God i.e. the Bible, not papish traditions. Vinty probably falls into the latter category. Clear?

Just an aside

Over 600 MPs voted on this English & Welsh “issue”

Shouldn’t the Scottish and Northern Irish MPs abstain or better still be prevented from voting?

Just saying

Not really otherwise far rage would be banned from voting on anything that doesnt affect Clacton. An MP is not just a local representative. Your argument is ultimately one for Scottish independence.

That sounds reasonable.
However unlike the devolved administrations , Westminster is supreme and has the power to impose legislation made in Westminster on the rest of the UK without consent.

I thought @Vinty would be good enough to clarify but since you've been hired as spokesman perhaps you could do so for him?

You appear to be the one who is confused.
Suicide is killing yourself intentionally, by requesting to be killed by someone else is still Suicide,no different from using a gun or poison to kill yourself.

The term Catholic means universal, it includes all Christian denominations.

Christians who follow the teachings of the Church of Rome with the Pope as their spiritual head are called Roman Catholics.

You don't have to follow the Pope to call yourself a Catholic .

The tendency these days of Roman Catholics to refer to themselves as Just Catholic is to imply that there is only one legitimate Christian church.

So according to you, anyone who wishes to end their own suffering when there is no hope of recovery and may be in immense pain is 'killing themselves intentionally'?

You don't understand the concept of free choice!

No-one grows up intending to be in the position we are talking about, so yes you have shown that you are the confused one!

So do you consider those who have their pets put down murderers?

Or are they simply putting a beloved pet/friend/family member out of their misery humanely?
