You're missing my salient point. Of course there should be a global strategy re migration. How soon do you think that'll happen? How soon do you think France is genuinely going to do all in its power to stop migrants leaving their shores for the UK?

The UK should have put a system in place whereby it was blatantly obvious to anyone and their dog that attempting the small boat crossing wouldn't necessarily equate to a permanent right to remain. Whereas at present, that's pretty much what's happening due to p1ss poor processes our side.
