Strange how you don't mention any processingNo need to house illegals when you make them all legal.
It was a deterrent, supposedly. It's crazy when you stop and actually think about it. Yes we know government can generally be wasteful, yes we know huge figures get banded about right left centre, millions, billions.
However when you visualise £700 million and then think about what's actually been achieved/delivered for that money ...
Why bother, they are all going to be fast tracked through.Strange how you don't mention any processing
Have you got a cornflake fetish? I wont tell anyone.Soggy cornflakes again?
How much processing did the Tories do?Why bother, they are all going to be fast tracked through.
'Fast tracked' in comparison to the total absence of processing under the Tories. Why bother, they are all going to be fast tracked through.
Better to keep them housed and fed costing us billions eh...Why bother, they are all going to be fast tracked through.
The boat people are a small minority of overall migration. It won't make much difference but your point still stands. So if Labours fast track system doubles inward migration (it may triple it) what will we do. where will they all go,
The population of Birmingham is about 1,000,000.the numbers of inward migration is such at present that even labours promise to build 1.5 million homes (the equivalent urban sprawl of two Birminghams) in the next 5 years is not enough to keep up with the migrants. So if Labours fast track system doubles inward migration (it may triple it) what will we do. where will they all go,
Processing properly will send some back of course.the method in what seems the madness of the torries processing was; the sheer delay would have put a lot off ever bothering to try.
it does seem more sensible to get them processed and working as per what Starmer is proposing, but how will that effect the numbers trying to come here?

no it was a measure of urban sprawl, not all migrants are going to Birmingham (mores the pity) they will be spread out across the UK.The population of Birmingham is about 1,000,000.
Obviously they don't all live alone.
Assuming an average of households of 3, there are only about 300,000 homes in Birmingham.
Your maths is totally awry, or you intentionally misusing the data.
Only 127,000 new homes are needed in Birmingham over the next 15 years.
More than 127,600 new homes needed in Birmingham by 2040 - report

But you are mixing migrants and the boat people.no it was a measure of urban sprawl, not all migrants are going to Birmingham (mores the pity) they will be spread out across the UK.
Current net inward migration is around 700,000 per anum
over 5 years that is 3.5 million
since the vast vast majority are young adults - it will be 2 per home
so 1.75 million homes need (labour are hoping to build 1.5 million)
and then there is all the inrastructure needed to support another 3.5 million souls. that is a lot of hospitals, roads, sewage treatment, police, prisons, supermarkets, factoris....
think of Birmingham, we need everything that is there build in the next 5 years, even if its spread about, that is a lot of building, an unachievable amount.
It can't be done,
No chance, I don't know how you worked that out.anf Labours fast track system may double or triple the amount arriving
