Weight loss

I cook and shop myself. No enabler. Don’t do enough exercise
Then you are the enabler. The part of you that wants to lose weight must defeat the enabler part of you that wants to eat sugar.

Google low carb recipes, find a few that you'd enjoy & create a meal plan. Then go out shopping for the ingredients after throwing out all the sugar from your cupboards. There's more than enough low carb dishes out there to excite your taste buds & actually make you look forward to eating them !

Then there's the exercise. I must say that when I'm out & about in t'village I don't often bump into any morbidly obese weapons of mass consumption & there's a good reason for that. Get out for a walk, go swimming or even a bit of cycling.

Worth a read

The current Mrs. Lard was until quite recently a clinical dietician & probably one of the most senior in the land. She can best explain to you that whilst probiotics play a certain part they are not the answer to chronic overweightness.

Ask me about freeze dried poo & the last research project she worked on !

This is in part why Australians & Americans have high obesity rates. Because they drive everywhere even the local shop's

I'm not so sure of that
OK, you cannot live on a zero carb diet & I'd dare say such a diet is impossible anyways.

But our food industry is guilty of promoting 'very highly processed' foods that are quite frankly not only unhealthy, but bizarre to say the least.

Are fat kids the victims of child abuse???

Have you any experience of freeze dried poo & the last research project ?

Agree in most but fat kids are also loved

I have not & have no future plans to experience the taking of freeze dried poo.

Freeze dried poo, I'm told, is like a nuclear bomb equivalent to your probiotics hand grenade. Mrs Lard's last project involved a lot of the groundwork in setting up the future research criteria. It all stems from a genius cancer doctor, one actually on the front line & not hidden away in a big pharma laboratory somewhere. The chemo drugs are getting better every day at targetting the cancers, but if you know anything about these chemo therapies then you will know that they kick the seven bales out of the human body. There was this one chemo patient hours away from death because even though the cancer was probably beaten their gut had no bacteria left alive to help process their nutrients. In an inspired 'flash' of a moment, the doctor thought to reintroduce that gut bacteria by infusing it through the medium of the patients wifes poo.

I'm told that patients recovery was the very visual of a miracle & I'm also told that 'freeze dried poo' is the sort of stuff that wins Nobel prizes.

Iirc, the "have a poo" hypothesis is asking the lines of "skinny people have a certain gut flora, so their poo does too".

Infuse a skinny turd: lose weight.
Infuse a chubby turd : get chubby.

Or sumfink like that.

There's a lot more to it.

Without wanting to purposefully 'gross' anyone out, then I have to say that all families & anyone who is living in close proximity share at least some of the same gut bacteria. This is because it simply is not possible to maintain the strict hygeine regime neccessary to not share your faeces with your nearest & dearest. This also has implications in the wider world, but lets not go there shall we.

Some very good advice on here so not worth me chipping in only suffice to say i too intermittent fast with great success, for me its more about the phase called Autophagy.
Also Intermittent fasting is good for keeping your blood sugar/insulin levels more regular.

The intermittent fasting for me personally was more about helping to learn or relearn my ability to control my calorie intake.
Just because you fast don't be fooled during non fasting if you eat like a bastard you wont just be back where you were at the start, and no exercise will save you either, you cannot out exercise excessive calories.

Intermittent fasting helps teach you discipline, break bad habbits and give your body a chance to repair and recover between digesting food. All good.
