Starmer will ditch her like he did the other toxic lefties.
This could work out really well for Starmer.

Correct.
She is backed by Unison, so certainly has power. There are huge tensions between Starmer and Rayner. She is very powerful and he has to try to keep her sweet. If she ends up seriously damaged by this, I can't imagine Starmer will be too upset.

I would imagine inside the party she is the leader of the left wing faction.
I see AR as being the equivalent as Two Jags was to Blair.

Prescott
"Mine's a gin and tonic, Giovanni,"
The hardcore Corbyn cultists hate her, they want Labour to be a protest party in eternal opposition.I've always thought that, others aren't so sure.
I agree, but I was thinking of the situation.Much more powerful than Prescott. IMO. But not as powerful as Gordon Brown. Somewhere in between.
I had to look that up!

John P. was well known for his sense of humour - unless you egged him on too far.John initially used to glare at him when he said it, I think it went on for a few years and I've seen footage where JP breaks into a smile suggesting what was originally intended as a slur became good natured banter between the two. I suspect both Soames and Prescott had a sense of humour, you don't see much of that in politics today.
