Now you're getting the gist.

Be sure to point out whenever I deliberately lie, woncha boyo.(y)
No point Nosey..Liars rarely admit to it..."Lie til ya die" and "Deny til ya die"I think you will find are their mantra.

Interesting comment on the brief when a reporter asked about thermal scanning. Reply from Mrs Expert was no good as they read differently on different surfaces so aren't accurate.

Sorely disappointed when the reporter didn't mention why does this matter when they are pointed a group of people all with a similar colour as it will still show if some are hotter than others. That's the main aim - to spot people that are. The actual temperature doesn't matter only the response rate. So once again the Asians have thought more about the problems.

I think they are teasing you about the concept of "deliberately lying", since you can't accidentally lie.

Depends on your definition. A lot don't require that you know you aren't telling the truth. Just that what you say is untrue.

I believe it should include that you know you're not telling the truth, but that's just me.

I think you are the one they are fooling not me. My views on deliberately lying are clear. You can choose to deliberately lie or you can say nothing.

that's the point - there is being wrong and lying. A lot of the folk on here bandy the liar word around when they really mean "you are wrong".

anyway back on track - the data seems to be delayed today. I predict low numbers and somebody is trying to increase them to stop us calling for an end to lock down.

edited - for Wednesday. Any figure below 700 would be good. Wednesday seems to be the "hump" day for reporting.

People are talking about ending lock downs so much expect another spike. What they seem to be expecting wont be possible if social distancing is dropped and that is what is keeping the R value down.

My son was working at home but is now furloughed. Normally he goes to work on the train. He fell about laughing when I told him just how many people can get into a coach and maintain social distancing. That on a local line that doesn't carry that many people. Just runs from Redditch to central B'ham.

Thermal scanners on the news - big help. No, just a bit of a help. One hot person could infect all around him. It's just a method of coping with people that should be self isolating. They were black and white ones too.

Sadly they have changed the data set, so I can no longer easily manage comparisons. However, time/date of death is even more accurate, though obviously you'd expect number for the last 7 days to be subject to increase.

Just watching tonights corona virus meeting on tv. Personally i would like them to shake off some of the ambiguity in their brief, saying masks could be 'useful' etc doesn't help here. We need absolute instruction.

I think they mean for psychological reasons. i.e. for people frightened of going out.
