So the government should “fix the problem” but you don’t know what they should do to “fix the problems.”?

People who have no right to claim asylum make it hard for authorities backed up by free legal help from a large group of law firms making a lot of money helping them beat the system. So unless we adopt a system like Japan which pretty much refuses all applications- it’s going to take a long time and a lot of money.

One thing is for sure, more people applying won’t reduce the backlogs

Ok, so it's all the fault of the French, the RNLI, me for not having the answers and lawyers. Anyone else?

Who is blaming the RNLI? All that is being said, is they are being used as a taxi service.

Nobody is blaming you unless you are a trafficker.

And yes, if you think a problem should be fixed by someone, you ought to have an idea of what you want them to do to fix it.

Otherwise you might be accused of being petulant.

No, the French are ignoring the people in Calais
That is blatantly untrue. You know it, yet you still peddle your false claim.
"The UK–France Joint Leaders’ Declaration issued in March 2023 states that France prevented 1,381 small boat crossings, carrying 33,788 people, in 2022. This equates to 42.4% of attempts to cross and 55% of small boats being intercepted by the French authorities in 2022."

The French are intercepting about 50% of the boats:
"So far this year, theyhave stopped 28,000 migrants, and they have intercepted and destroyed1,072 boats. So, just over half the boats that have been attempted to beused to cross the channel have been destroyed."
