Steel bar and masks. Bloke who opens the car door quickly gets back out of the way.

There is talk of 2 tier policing, generally right wing wailing. What do the police really do? Take a demo which of course the riot lot could also hold. They watch maybe escort and if some law is broken they arrest. Plenty of this went on with the pro Palestine demo's. Racist comments, dress or what ever. A law has been broken. They have tried kettling - what happened. Someone who shouldn't have been in had a heart attack. Sometimes a small group of extremist would start damaging property or what ever but as contained the police couldn't easily get there. Great approach to limit inconvenience of others in an area but the problems. So moves on to allowing marches. Planned routes. Why all of this - freedom of speech.

This sort of policing has problems with riots. Too many people to arrest in one go. Riot gear is generally more protect than attack. Go back say 40 years and things were rather different and they would attack. I tried to find some footage but failed. A single cop plus his truncheon would subdue the majority of individuals. Horse charges - use them. Bit of a problem. Someone was killed as his skull was too thin but cops not supposed to hit there. This really was little more than a demo. On lookers say this isn't "nice". It probably was used when not strictly needed. Switch to the US and they do sometimes advance with their rather large sticks that could easily kill some one.

So just how should they police riots?

But then you are a violent, racist law breaker who spends thousands of £s to keep a car in Spain illegally, when it would cost a couple of hundred Euros to make it legally registered in Spain.

And then you have the audacity to claim that foreigners are using foreign registered vehicles in UK.

At a guess, I'd think you've sold the car, in Spain.
Was it to someone who had no knowledge of its recent history?
Did they know that it was untaxed and untested?
Did they know that is was illegal to sell a car in Spain that had not been tested in the previous six months?
And you've recently told us you'd just sent out a new MOT certificate.

So that it'll be some more of your offences to add to the list.

And for a couple of hundred Euros, you could have stayed within the law.

Without regard to political bias - plenty of posters in the forum wet their knickers about the pro-Palestine protesters last November - hungrily repeating the misinformation in regard to the route and spreading the lies. Fewer arrests back then than at this weekends shindig, i recall.

When some complain about foreigners committing exactly the same offences that they are also guilty of, over several year, and it is continuing,
several things spring to mind:
a) there are no foreigners, to the complainants knowledge, committing such offences.
b), it's just a hook on which to hang their racist attitude.
c) they are serial liars, and don't bat an eyelid at lying to the insurance companies, obtaining fraudulent MOT certificates, and brag about their intelligence in committing such senseless offences.

You are quite content in wasting thousands of GBPs on pointless tax and insurance, when for a couple of hundred Euros you could have been totally legit?
