I see now apparently Magistrates have ordered a stop on jailing serious offenders. So we have keyboard warrior hurty worders put away whilst Serious violent offenders etc are now getting a clear message as long as you dont offend illegal immigrants you've got a green light to push your luck.
Im not going to say it but when people in control are fully aware of the state of prison utilisation ie maxed out and you have a choice of running a futile 'example' of people over showing emotional restraint and sticking to the program keeping those spaces left for serious offenders. I find that in itself is a very questionable act that should come under scrutiny itself in an enquiry. A bad call.
No i dont condone violence or racism but we also shouldn't be impulsive and knee jerk when resources are low. It shows a lack of overall grasp on long term strategy for law and order. Ok i just did. I also believe we should all have the right to express our opinion(without offence) without accusation of having a political affiliation.

The rapid sentencing is a tactic evolved after the 2011 riots. The immediate jail terms for the indisputably guilty has a real deterrence for the other rioters.

The racist idiots were always going to be going to prison, but by doing it quickly and with plenty of publicity it stopped more of them committing more crimes.
