In some ways that relates to a person's view on colonialism. This is what established the state of Palestine and a place for Israeli to live in. Few Jews did compared with Arabs but they coexisted.

Other countries in the area wont be happy about this even before anything really happens. Then add a bit of expansionism and all really kicks off.

Some Jews say there is no such place and that the people who lived in it are effectively none existent yet info states that they were there.

Only the original owners can do that.
So if the UN acted in contravention of their own Charter, the creation of the state of Israel was illegal, according to the UN Charter.
But the Palestinians have since accepted the creation of the state of Israel, within the pre 1967 and original UN lines.
Now Israel has taken even more land and refuses to follow UN Resolutions to return that land.

Israel cannot claim that UN Resolutions gifted them land then ignore the same organisation's resolutions when it feels like it.

it was created before these rules existed. The new rules via the UN came about to entirely prevent this type of action. Stick to them and no country can wage war to seize and occupy land.

I do know your views of what a Palestine should look like assuming it is entirely Arab alongside a separate Israeli state. Essentially the Arabs should get all of the west bank and the gaza strip.

Just why hasn't this happened and is increasingly unlikely to ever happen? Which of the various sides leave this solution "something" of a problem?Jerusalem is much the same.
