Should multinationals and multibillionaires pay fair tax?

In a sense he is correct. The taxation guide went a lot larger. How that relates to taxation laws is a bit difficult to answer.

Anyway as I pointed out he did raise taxation/gdp despite tax cuts. So changes bought more in.

Analysts have studied the effects of the GFC. Tory blamed all on Labour. Bit daft as it was an extremal event. We could for instance blame recent inflation on the Tory due to Ukraine effects. They also reckon that this approach also got them a 2nd term. Look after the books etc. All Cameron said on austerity was how much debt interest we were paying but in fact the repercussions of the GFC went further. QE gets mentioned eventually most people not even being aware of what it means and it's effects.

:) Labour now blaming the Tory. Given that say the IFS's change in view there does seem to be some truth in it. Hidden expenditure. Another IFS view is that both parties were well aware that some how or the other we need to raise more tax. Correct they do but how to go about it?

The tax take from the nom doms is going to be so massive, Chairman Starmer is considering we may all just need to work 4 days a week -

What is going on? in most situations where the forecast is for poverty and hardship, we know we just have to work harder, all the hours god sends. But fr reasons I just don't get, Starmer and his politburo seem to be advocating we can work less - we can all live on benefits procured from super rich nom doms

It seems to be a cunning plan out of a book Baldrig wrote.

I'm guessing math's isn't your strong point? I know folk that work for four days, but miraculously manage to get the same hours in as those that work five days. The crafty buggers work longer hours!

I'm also guessing that you assume those that work four days (p/wk), just wing it on the fifth?

All I can say is that for a Tory boy, and probably a Brexer - you don't disappoint.

They have been telling us the country is penniless, bankrupted by the partying torries

Politburo official seen in Ibiza last night

As Orwell pointed out, down on the farm, some are more equal than others

meanwhile torry voting pensions wondering if they will make it to the next election, will they even make it through the winter with the heating turned off.

Mick and Elton will be ok, stop fretting...

People have been doing it for years. All of a sudden it's the PM's fault.

It's generally seen as a good idea for a number of reasons. LOL I guessed the 4 day week one would be all that gets a mention from some. Actually there is a lot more to it than that and it's not mandatory. It's a package aimed at what it says on the tin - flexible working.

Actually lots have been working a 4 1/2 day week for years. Nurses working 12hr shifts is another version. They do it via longer breaks off.

they need to work a 5th day and up productivity by 25% - that is what the country needs.

if you are capable of getting your entire weeks work done in 4 days, then your lot is far too easy. Anyone short of money should be working 6 days.

You can graft yourself for "all the hours that God sends", I'll stick with being efficient and productive.

There are no pockets in shrouds, as the saying goes (y)
