The Timing and Excuse for War

You certainly are, you refuse to acknowledge Hamas are terrorists.

although considering you think Gaza industrial estate is in Israel, maybe its just a lack of understanding
Roy Bloom appears to be an anti-racist antisemite. This thread is a way of propagating his views that he claims are anti racist and build support for his antisemitic stance.

As usual the nearest the dishonest debaters come to a counter argument is lying accusations, which they can never support with evidence.
Nothing ever changes, and certainly not their debating abilities and style.

The UN do not designate Hamas as terrorists.
Israel, USA, UK and other western nations do designate Hamas as terrorists.
But designating an organisation as terrorist is a political action.
Anyone who also follows Israel, USA, UK, etc that declares Hamas as terrorist., is following their political doctrine.

What do you call an organisation that deliberately attacks, kills, maims, tortures and kidnaps civilians in another country in order to cause terror with no military benefit?

Terrorist seems be quite a good definition.

PS you knew the response you'd get and you're not interested in listening to anyone else's point of view. So why start the thread? Looking for antisemtic allies or just generally more provocation and argument?

What do you call the systematic genocidal bombing of civilians, causing over 5,000 casualties, 40% of them children?
What do you call the starvation of over 2,000,000 people?
What do you call the denial of water to over 2,000,000 people?
What do you call the denial of medicine and fuel to treat the injured?
What do you call the bombing of hospitals trying to treat the wounded?
What do you call the forcing of civilians into a smaller area, then bomb them?

What do you call the continual and persistent removal of people from their legally hel;d homes for decades, to leave them as refugees?
What do you call the continued shooting of little boys throwing stones?
What do you call the sacking of employees based on their ethnicity?
What do you call the shooting of farmers trying to tend their fields?

I know your answer, you'll call it self-defence.

And Notch defends racists, and trivialises it, as Alf Garnett style outbursts.

You do realise that this whole thread is predicated on your opening post, which is nothing more solid than your musings, don't you?

:D
It's not just "my musings", and it is supported with eminent opinion.
Germany entered into World War I on August 1, 1914, when it declared war on Russia. In accordance with its war plan, it ignored Russia and moved first against France–declaring war on August 3 and sending its main armies through Belgium to capture Paris from the north. The German invasion of Belgium caused Britain to declare war on Germany on August 4.
Historians have vigorously debated Germany's role. One line of interpretation, promoted by German historian Fritz Fischer in the 1960s, argues that Germany had long desired to dominate Europe politically and economically, and seized the opportunity that unexpectedly opened in July 1914, making Germany guilty of starting the war.

The Kiel Canal widening and deepening was in order to facilitate the movements of the German navy.
To cope with the increasing traffic and the demands of the Imperial German Navy, between 1907 and 1914 the canal was widened by Germany to allow dreadnought battleships to pass through,

The largest share of responsibility lies with the German government. Germany's rulers made possible a Balkan war by urging Austria-Hungary to invade Serbia, well understanding that such a conflict might escalate. Without German backing it is unlikely that Austria-Hungary would have acted so drastically.

European nations as empires (also known as imperialism) can be seen as a key cause of World War I, because as countries like Britain and France expanded their empires, it resulted in increased tensions among European countries. The tensions were a result of many colonies often being acquired through coercion. Then, once a nation had been conquered, it was governed by the imperial nation: many of these colonial nations were exploited by their mother countries, and dissatisfaction and resentment was commonplace. As British and French expansionism continued, tensions rose between opposing empires, including Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire, leading to the creation of the Allied Powers (Britain and France) and Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire) during World War I.

As I said in my OP:
It is widley believed that Germany wanted war well before the outbreak of WWI in order to disrupt the French/Russian alliance, and to have an equal share of 'a place in the sun', i.e. a colonial empire...

Incidentantly, Brigadier, there is a channel (no pun intended) of thought, that the only reason why UK became involved is because they didn't want a strong potentialy European wide nation facing them just 20 miles away across the Chanel.
Echoes of other conflicts?

So far the number of cicilians killed in Ukraine, over about 18 months is about 10,000.
So far the number of civilians killed in Gaza by Israel in about two weeks is nearly 6,000.

Ukraine did have a population density of about 63 people per Km²
Gaza has a population density of about 6,500 people per Km²

Ukraine had an area of over 600,000 Km²
Gaza has an area of 365Km²

Watched Planet Earth 3 last night - puts all this nonsense into context.

Are you still defending racism?
It illustrates your moral compass, or lack of it.
