31 months is along time albeit for a vicious post from a dumb Karen. She will possibly also lose her childminding licence. Failure to understand the criteria of the offence
Inability to afford legal costs.
A feeling that its stacked against you and a discount for guilty is better than defending you case.

I know of a person who walked in to the police station and admitted Fraud, when she was actually the victim of blackmail. 2 1/2 years.

Well sunshine the verdict has been issued and the reason for the charge is indisputable.

So she could plead not guilty. Given the reason for this type of charge does thiis make you think that a judge would allow it to be a test case by declaring not guilty? He or she would make it very clear why this lady had been charged. A direct example of a particular law being broken.
