Labour is the "Party for British business"…

irrelevant

an employer can sack somebody and give a different reason
thank you for acknowledging that you were wrong when you said "American employees get no protection from unfair dismissal".
Why would they need to give a different reason, if the employee had "no protection from unfair dismissal"?

Great. They won’t need to stop the winter payment for pensioners now or any of the other rises being talked about when they found that £22m shortfall, will they?
Thought to be highly unlikely as the markets night react unfavourably. In fact it isn't even clear if seh will raise any money that way. Maybe a lot less.

Investment gained so far ~£63b. A major source who already invests loads sounds happy so best hope the budget doesn't upset him and others. That bloke reckons the main problem with the UK is the time it takes to do anything. He reckoned about twice as long as France.

Thank you for admitting the only protection they have is worthless.

Ergo they have protection.

The evidence shows there are bugger all workers rights in the USA, so I suggest you stop making a fool of yourself.

It’s clearly another subject you know nothing about. If workers had no protection, what do you think all the zillions of specialist claims legal firms would do for business?

Ergo they have protection.
Glad we got there in the end

You've never heard of fire at will then

Conservatives certainly aren’t the party of business.

Brexit significantly increased trade barriers with our largest and nearest trade partner….which causes and continues to cause damage to business.

So anybody that voted for Boris Johnson’s hard brexit has no right to be attempting any criticism of Labour in terms of business.

Much of my rather senior management were Tory supporters. All worked in manufacture. They would add that the only problem with them is what they see as a business worth having.

LOL My counter wasn't really political but was exaggerated. I've watched the slow decline of the west and feel the UK is well ahead of the pack and is likely to be the 1st one to need red cross food parcels. :) Well so far they come out of foodbanks. A fairly recent option indirect;y influenced by Cameron however circumstances mean that far more people need them than when he mentioned the need for charities.

I am sorry you are getting angry.

Now be a good chap and go and read about at will employment.

“In United States labor law, at-will employment is an employer's ability to dismiss an employee for any reason, and without warning, as long as the reason is not illegal. When an employee is acknowledged as being hired "at will", courts deny the employee any claim for loss resulting from the dismissal”
